1000 things!

Life is good! Sure I keep busy, there is just so much cool stuff to do - and at least this way I don't get bored. Today @ph1102 poked me to do something for the second time (a secret of dealing with busy people), and then told me that he can see that I do thousands of things. Thousands!

image.png

I suppose its true, figuratively true if not literally true. I am involved in a lot of things, and each one of them has many sub tasks, split into many different steps each. I'm not sure this is a good thing, many people have told me I 'do too many things', and I might agree with them, I frequently engage in pruning my activity tree. So I guess this post is my attempt to organize my life (on paper) before I head off to the US and leave it all behind, just to be asked about it.

Thing Number 1: ECOBANK

DJI_0903.JPG

For me, this is the big one. Its my top priority and inside of it there are many different things to do. Currently we are working hard to clean some space on the land beneath the trees with some workers using our agroforestry techniques, I think I will head back down there wednesday with them. But yesterday we went down with a friend's drone and took some awesome pictures.

Some of them were pretty spectacular.

We got some videos too, I'll have to upload the best one to my youtube channel.

There is so much exciting stuff going on with ECOBANK that I am trying to get the team members involved to make posts about it too. Let's see how that goes, so far @quintaesencia and @gestorsocial, but soon maybe more. This is a big project, and I am working to make sure it grows bigger than 'just me', but I will leave all of those details for their own posts.

This post is about the 'things that I do'.

Thing Number 2: dCity

While it is a mostly passive game and I am able to leave it alone for as long as I want, I give dCity a lot of attention. It has treated me enormously well over the years, and I have developed my own strategies for playing, many of which I have revealed in my posts about the matter. Posting about dCity, while it may no longer add significantly to the overall ROI of playing (because my city is way too big), is something I much enjoy as a way to participate in dCity culture.

Even though I am ready to admit that citizen mining isn't a beginner strategy, I still like to do it and have had at various times upwards of 60 cities under my control.

dCity is officially my top hobby, 'my job away from work', the online game I love most, no offense to Splinterlands, whose buttons I only infrequently click. I haven't even logged into Steam in months. Sorry not sorry Valve.

Thing Number 3: INCOME synergy Fund

Of course I manage funds, and my FUN fund is my top method of managing money along side my own. I recently did an update post, and will have a few other smaller updates coming over the next (time period that rhymes with moon).

"Doing this' is basically moving tokens around, keeping myself informed on participant projects, and making posts about this or that activity I do. The good thing is that these can generally be LeoFinance posts, so I can earn some additional LEO and if I go through the motions of copying and pasting the post from where I create it in PeakD over to the LeoFinance poster (I rarely do this), I can even have a chance for a LeoVoter sighting.

Please make a meme of this, had some bros digging through my facebook and found this gem from highschool. I guess this brings us to thing 4.

Thing Number 4: Have fun and get laughs on the internet

I love to laugh, and its fun to make people laugh as well. I think the ManCave Discord is one of the top places to do that. I also am around a few other discords, like HIVE SBI, where I am community manager, dCity (of course), PsyberX, Cartel and even Hive-engine discord, but the place I have the most fun is in ManCave.

Over the last few days we have had a lot of fun 'taking the piss' out on @chronocrypto - the bear market has been tough on everyone but if you can take the hazing from the bros in the mancave, likely your project will come out stronger on the other side.

Here's a taste:

And just a little something extra for you all:

Thing Number 5: Other land management projects

I have a number of years working with some land and recently I have been a bit too busy to keep up. But we have a few small teams of people helping us out on two different farms, these are farms that are outside the ECOBANK project.

I have them send me pictures, and try to stay current on whats going on through communication and infrequent and unplanned visits.

Consulting Companies - CC Team(s)

Thing number 6 is a consulting group that I put together with some friends, we are actually developing a portfolio of cases right now, mostly legal issues. My personal specialty is consulting about crypto and helping to identify scams, as well as conciliation and other forms of conflict resolution and problem solving.

I also do some other types of consulting, such as agroforestry, erosion control, living fences and the like, and my wife runs a nursery where she makes more plants that \we can sell or use in any implementation that we sell.

Thing Number 7 - Teaching English

I do a bit of English teaching, this almost brings us full circle because I am focused on and most interested in teaching the certified tour guides in the area so that we can bring people in for the ECOBANK project and I am not the only one that people are able to talk to.

So far its going pretty good, I haven't done it in a while, but I'm really good at it and I'm picking it back up quickly.

Is that it?

That's the main stuff. Now I have to leave all that behind, and go to the US for a month, and try to answer the question, 'What do you do?" with this wall of text.

What do you do down there in Colombia?

Teach english (Number 7) would be the easiest one, like if I didn't really want to talk to that person any more. I could also reference Number 4 and say "I am an internet troll". I have strongly considered "I am the top dCity player in the world" as an answer to this question. eSports might even be respectable in some circles, although then I come under the risk of having to defend the concept that dCity is an actual game. And 'I'm a consultant' is an everygreen well used for immigration officials and tax documents.

But I think ideally I would always lead with Number 1: ECOBANK. We work as project managers for an open, private development fund in Colombia. Yes we focus on sustainable developments and comply with many of the UN sustainable development goals. Yes we work to earn profits and pay dividends. Yes you can invest.

I think 'open' is a better word than 'crypto', but its just a theory I am not sure. How are we 'open'? Of course we are open through decentralized cryptographic protocols that are community owned, secured and managed and stored on the HIVE blockchain, the only blockchain besides bitcoin with a story so impressive they are making a movie about it.

I can't wait to practice the pitch! Any suggestions?

Freedom and Friendship

As for me, I lost my passion for playing. I prefer staying with my friends and shared memes instead playing, we had a really fun time. ManCave is really awesome.

The currency crisis ended and market down is stopped. Hive is starting to know a slight recovery and it's good thing for chronocrypto.
Just working in life is a bountiful harvest without fruits. We should have fun

Thanks for the mention and when I wrote that I didn't even know some of these things on your list... :)

Regarding the question "What do you do for a living?", I think that you should pick between 2 options... English teaching, or general troll... :) I have similar problems with people asking me what I'm doing... As I was doing web hosting 10 years ago, I still go with that answer... lol... It's the easiest answer... :)

Jokes aside, I like a lot what you are planning to do with the ECOBANK project and as I can see, your land is in the middle of the jungle, with a lot of potential... Beautiful nature... Anyways, I hope that the next bull run will come soon and I will be able to contribute to your cause!

All the best!

Hahaha, I agree: "I teach English." is the standard leave-me-alone reply, to which, if prodded, I like to add "and German. and Spanish. and Hungarian if you want." By that time the conversation topic will have changed, most certainly.

But I really like the mention of ECOBANK, especially putting sustainability and crypto and investment together, probably even with land-based. Sounds like you already have your elevator pitch, just ringing with numerous catchphrases.

Everyone wants to save the environment, if it weren't for the pesky material part. On the other hand, everyone would love to invest (in something radically new such as crypto) if it weren't for all the scams and rug pulls. Well, to me it seems like the two sides of ECOBANK take care of each other's biggest concerns. Unlike virtual assets, a piece of land won't vanish into thin air or become worthless. And by doing something for the benefit of the land and people, not only will you not go broke, you'll make an actual profit doing it.

Oh wow, just typing this I may have just convinced myself of the awesomeness of ECOBANK... yet again!

Hey man, I'd like to DM you about something. Discord won't let me, and on BeeChat I'm not sure you'd see it. Could you direct me to best way we could talk? Cheers!
