A Letter To her

avatar

Long time no see
It was just like yesterday
We had dreams of growing together
Shared ribbons and roses as a sign of our love
And laugh to every of our jokes

We were both young
But Our knowledge of love was stronger
Under the fig tree we had promised forever
Little did I know that your words were like a dew
That disappears at the rising of the sun

What happened to our young love?
Where did the promises go?
Maybe growing up was a crime
Making all the memories fade away with it
And I no longer fit your match

While you wallow in another man's bed
Saying the same promises you once said to me
I sit here lonely writing to you
Hoping that you know my promises were true
