PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 21
Hi everybody!
"Elaborate Masked" is my contribution to the PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 21.
It is a portrait of an elaborately masked opening participant of the Life Ball 2019 in Vienna. I took the photo in the entrance area at Rathausplatz just before the opening of the event.
The second picture (out of competition) shows the costume of the participant. The motto of the ball was "United in Diversity" and it was the last time that the Life Ball - the largest charity event in Europe for people living with HIV and AIDS - took place.
I was responsible for the very first part of the event at the entrance to Rathausplatz, the arrival of the artists and drove up with them in a sponsor's truck.
From then on I coordinated the entry of the artists and performers for the show at Rathausplatz, which were entering from this side.
In the last photo I can be seen with a facial expression that corresponds to the function - of course not at all posed.

"Aufwändig maskiert" ist mein Beitrag zum PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 21. Es handelt sich um ein Porträt eines aufwändig maskierten Eröffnungsteilnehmers des Life Ball 2019 in Wien. Das Foto habe ich kurz vor der Eröffnung der Veranstaltung im Eingangsbereich am Rathausplatz gemacht. Das zweite Bild (außer Konkurrenz) zeigt das Kostüm des Teilnehmers. Der Ball stand unter dem Motto „In Vielfalt geeint“ und es war das letzte Mal, dass der Life Ball – Europas größte Charity-Veranstaltung für Menschen mit HIV und AIDS – stattfand.
Ich war am Eingang zum Rathausplatz zuständig für den allerersten Part des Events, der Ankunft der Artisten und bin mit ihnen im Truck eines Sponsors vorgefahren. Ab dann habe ich auf Ansage der Regie den Einmarsch der von dieser Seite auftretenden Künstler und Artisten für die Show am Rathausplatz koordiniert. Am letzten Foto bin ich mit einem der Funktion entsprechenden -natürlich überhaupt nicht gestellten - Gesichtsausdruck zu sehen.

Was für ein Kostüm und dieses aufwändig dekorierte Gesicht! Wahnsinn!
Gibt es den Ball dieses Jahr wieder? Bin da nicht auf dem Laufenden.
Nein, damals war leider das letzte derartige Event und ich bin froh, dass ich bei diesem 26. und letzten Life Ball die Gelegenheit hatte, als Inspizient mitzuwirken.
Das ist sehr schade! Hm, was heisst den Inspizient? Durftest du die Gäste beim Einlass auf div. nicht erlaubte Gegenstände durchsuchen?
Nope - ein Inspizient koordiniert den künstlerischen und technischen Ablauf einer Veranstaltung - im Theater zum Beispiel den Ablauf einer Aufführung. Ich habe den Beitrag etwas ergänzt.
