Good Evening Scribes and Scholars! I am sure many of you are familiar with haiku as a form of poetry. I am hoping that you might also be familiar with renga and renga chains.

In renga two poets will contribute to a single five line poem that runs 5-7-5-7-7. With one poet writing the first three lines and the second writing the last two. This later evolved into renga chains in which poets take turns continuing to build on the previous stanzas. I'd like to see if we can get a renga chain going in the comments on this post.

Stay with me though because it gets a bit crazy- you can continue from anyone's contribution- as long as your added stanza continues the rules of renga and makes sense with the previous entry it will get an upvote and slice of PIZZA from me. I will also pick favorites every day until the post pays out to hit with extra PIZZA ALIVE and PIMP in the comments.

I will start off with 3 stanzas to get it rolling!

Scribe scrawls silently

Paper and quill united

Become so much more

In unison they create,

visions the Scholar consumes

Seeking all knowledge,

curating with care, a quest

for wisdom spurs them
