My INLEO Experience

(Edited)

One thing I’ve been super consistent about the past few weeks on Hive has been using INLEO for all of my posts and most of my engagement. This has been largely due to the fact that I’m on premium now, but that is besides the point. I will admit though that haven used INLEO without premium and now with premium, there are a lot of wide differences in the user experience. In this post, I’ll be talking about some premium experiences, and general experience of an average user.

Threads

One of the advantages of premium is the fact that you get to make longer threads than usual, and also have the chance to edit the threads after you’ve made them. I’m fond of using both these features, but the former is what I find most helpful. As someone that likes creating threadstorms of all my posts, sometimes as I’m creating my inleo-curatable threadstorms, I miss some of the criteria and have to come back later to edit. For instance, I’ve caught myself on multiple occasions forgetting to put "1/🧵" or "2/🧵" on my threads after making them. So as required, I simply edit my threads to include the missing criteria, and I’m good to go. This would be a huge challenge if I were a regular user.

One challenge I have faced with threads though is the fact that sometimes some of the threads I make just vanish. As in, I type out the thread, hit thread, the thread vanishes like it’s been sent, but for whatever reason, I can’t find it again.

The interesting thing though is that this happens occasionally with comments as well. About 3 days ago, I wrote a lengthy ass comment on @klvnrex’s post about how much I appreciate small gifts because of the intentions they display. I’m sure klvnrex is going to be surprised about what I’m saying because he never got the comment. After sending the comment, I waited for about 12 hours to see what he had to say about the comment I’d left, but got no reply, so went back to his post only to realize I didn’t have a comment in the comment section. As I already mentioned, it was a long ass comment and almost impossible for me to write all out again, so I just snubbed the comment altogether. Another reason I left it alone was because it gave the energy of explaining a joke a second time, or a third, or multiple times.

Leo.voter Support

I think it was khal’s post I read just before I bought premium, and he detailed how drastically your rewards and earnings go up when you’re creating good content as a premium user. This is something I personally can testify to since I bought premium. I believe that this way, premium becomes self-sustainable once you buy it, as the payouts from the curation you receive from leo.voter will continuously renew your subsequent subscriptions.

The "Posted Using Inleo bug"

This one is more of a general user experience I’ve been meaning to talk about. It’s common knowledge that when you post through INLEO, you get a sort of a “Posted using Inleo” watermark. The problem with this watermark as I’ve come to realize is the fact that it applies multiple times for every edit. I’m not sure why that is, but I think it would really go a long way to adjust it so that it only shows for your initial post itself, and not for edits. Every once a while, you stumble upon someone’s post that has two or more “Posted using Inleo” watermarks. Other times, you’re the one that gets stumbled upon too.

The “Something went wrong whiles creating your post” bug

I’m not sure many others except myself and a few unfortunate others have experienced this, but it’s something worth mentioning. On one rare occasion last week or two, I experienced the “Something went wrong whiles creating your post” bug when I tried posting through Inleo. After making a thread asking for alternative options to post through, inleo.labs was suggested. I personally have never used it before, because by the time I got the suggestion, I had already posted through Ecency. I’m sure the Inleo team is working diligently to cap it, however, in the rare occasion that you face a similar challenge in the near future too, inleo.labs is an alternative suggestion you can use.

Inleo is one of the best front ends on Hive. I dare to say IT IS the best. The user experience is great and comes with a lot of perks. But like any working system, bugs are bound to appear occasionally. As we've seen in the past though, with a competent team, the Inleo team is always asking for feedback and working on ways to improve and make the user experience more enjoyable and fun! The more reason why you want to be a part of Inleo.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! We are glad you are enjoying the premium experience.

For the multiple "Posting using Inleo" you can delete the first one when editing, and then only the new one will show. If you already have 3, delete all 3 and only the new one will show.

Of course!

For the multiple "Posting using Inleo" you can delete the first one when editing

Yes this is what I do. But I am positive your team is working on getting the front end to recognize that an article is only being edited, so that another "posted using Inleo", doesn't even get added to begin with.
