In one of my most recent battles I had the opportunity to further test the different Rebellion edition cards that Splinterlands has given us as starter and that we can use without buying. It's a great way to try out different cards and strategies before spending real money. One of these cards was Gobson Sniper, a card from the green deck with ranged attack, I don't play ranged attack in this deck as I have it developed with Obsidian, but it was a good opportunity to test this card and here I bring you its analysis and battle this week.
En una de mis más recientes batallas tuve la oportunidad de seguir probando las diferentes cartas edición Rebellion que Splinterlands nos ha dado como starter y que podemos utilizar sin comprar. Es una magnífica forma de probar diferentes cartas y estrategias antes de gastar dinero real. Una de estas cartas ha sido Gobson Sniper, una carta del mazo verde con ataque a distancia. No es mi fuerte en este mazo el ataque a distancia pues lo tengo desarrolado con Obsidian, pero me surgió una buena oportunidad de probar esta carta y aquí os traigo su análisis y su batalla esta semana.
In Gobson Sniper we find a rare, ranged Rebellion edition card. His basic starting abilities are two attack points, two speed and six vitality, and as special abilities he already has Snipe and Cripple at his starting level. In addition, with its evolution it will gain one attack point and two speed and vitality points, and the special abilities Camouflage at level 3, which is very interesting, and Strengthen at the penultimate level, level seven.
En Gobson Sniper encontramos una carta edición Rebellion rara y con ataque a distancia. Sus habilidades básicas de inicio son dos puntos de ataque, dos de velocidad y seis de vitalidad y como habilidades especiales ya cuenta en su nivel inicial con Snipe y Cripple. Además, con su evolución va a ganar un punto de ataque y dos de velocidad y vitalidad y las habilidades especiales Camouflage en el nivel 3, muy interesante, y Strengthen en el penúltimo nivel, el siete.
I have to admit that my opponent didn't put me in too much trouble. In a battle where the conditions stated that only ranged attack cards could be used and neutral cards were not usable, he played a death deck and very few cards that didn't really challenge my strategy with Gobson Sniper and Blackmoor Trickster as the Rebellion cards in my line-up.
Tengo que reconocer que mi rival no me ha puesto en demasiados apuros. En una batalla en la que las condiciones marcaban que solo se podía utilizar cartas con ataque a distancia y no eran utilizables las cartas neutrales, formó con un mazo de muerte y muy pocas cartas que no pusieron en aprietos mi estrategia con Gobson Sniper y Blackmoor Trickster como cartas Rebellion en mi alineación.
While I'm not particularly devoted to ranged cards, I have to say that Gobson Sniper is one of those cards that are interesting and can be useful in a multitude of scenarios within the Splinterlands universe. Also, Cripple, in battles with low mana and low vitality cards, can be a point to keep in mind by reducing the maximum vitality of the cards it attacks. In short, Gobson Sniper is not a finisher or a must-have card, but it perfectly fulfils its main mission, which should be to damage those uncomfortable cards that the opponent usually hides in the second line of his line-up, for a modest summoning mana cost.

Aún no sintiendo especial devoción por las cartas con ataque a distancia he de decir que Gobson Sniper es una de esas cartas que son interesantes y que pueden llegar a ser útiles en multitud de escenarios dentro del universo Splinterlands. El contar con Snipe ya le da un punto de valor. Además, Cripple, en batallas con poco maná y cartas con poca vitalidad puede ser un punto a tener en cuenta al reducir la vitalidad máxima de las cartas a las que ataque. En resumen, Gobson Sniper no es un finisher ni una carta imprescindible pero si cumple a la perfección por un módico coste de maná de invocación su misión principal que debería ser la de dañar esas cartas incómodas que el rival suele esconder en la segunda lónea de su alineación.
