Profit or Loss? I played the previous season Splinterlands RENTING SPS and Cards!

Today is the day to try your luck in the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

Hey guys! The season is starting here and things are getting a little better now that I decided to try Wild Mode and Modern Mode simultaneously again!

SPS rented during the previous season

SPS rental lasts for exactly 7 days, so to be able to play a season we need at least two requests, one at the beginning and another in the middle of the season. I usually don't play much on the first day of the season, so I made the request on the second.

According to the report provided by Splinterlands, my SPS requests that were fulfilled were as follows:

There were two requests for 10K SPS, at a rate of 0.003 DEC per SPS. The total cost to rent 10K SPS can be recalled from the request screen below. We can remind friends that we can rent SPS through the Splinterlands game itself:

In other words, it was only 210 DEC to have 10K SPS for 7 days! Obviously this cost me twice as much to cover the entire season! A small fee of 1 DEC is charged for each split of the rental order, so in total I still burned 9 DEC in fees.

Renting SPS is intended to increase the rewards received during each match, after all there is a multiplier that grants more points to those who have more SPS. There is a reference table so you know how much SPS you need to receive the maximum points in the league you are in.

The decision for 10K SPS is random, there is no specific reason. The multiplier obtained is displayed on the game's battle screen:

The current multiplier is displayed as Boost and you can compare the difference between the 10K SPS in the Bronze II league = 14.14 and the Silve 1 league = 10.18. The maximum limit is somewhere around 14.

Cards rented during the previous season

The rental of cards necessary to remain competitive in the BRONZE 1 Modern and GOLD 3 WILD leagues and also to be able to play in the tournament between alliances, called Bralw, is done through the PeakMonster website.

This screen is current, so the cards should be disregarded as they are locations for the current season. You can download the report in CSV and filter the data. This is how I arrived at the amount invested in card rentals, which totaled 991 DEC during the days of the season

I also rented some low level cards during the season, for example my summoner Kelya Frendul level 3 which was rented generating a little value to subsidize the rental of the summoner Thaddius Brood level 5 used to play in the Gold 3 league, Wild Mode. These small values were ignored, in order to show the new player who doesn't have any card how much it is necessary to invest to have a result similar to mine.

Rented cards are primarily the cheapest, with a level suitable for the cost-benefit of playing in the league I am in. Of course this makes it cheaper, so take that into consideration before trying this at home.

SPS received in the previous season

Using the reports provided by Splinterstats:

Adding up all the receipts, I accumulated 157 SPS which were duly saved in STAKE in order to begin the process of recovering my STAKE.

With this information we can finally go to our preferred portal and calculate the SPS:DEC swap. I prefer to look at BeeSwap:

Then we were able to understand the relationship between the gains (3680 DEC) and the costs (1420), leaving the final result

Final Balance: 2260 positive DEC or 95 positive SPS

This result is positive, and that is the most important thing. This is because we still have NFT rewards, which are cards received in reward chests. All of these assets can still be traded, stored, delegated, rented or simply appreciated over time.

SPS alugados durante a temporada anterior

O aluguel de SPS tem duração de 7 dias exatos, então para conseguir jogar uma temporada precisamos de pelo menos duas solicitações, uma logo de início e outra no meio da temporada. Geralmente não jogo muito no primeiro dia de temporada, então fiz a solicitação no segundo.

De acordo com o relatório disponibilizado pelo Splinterlands, as minhas solicitações de SPS que foram atendidas foram as seguintes:

Foram duas solicitações de 10K SPS, na cotação de 0.003 DEC por SPS. O custo total para alugar 10K SPS pode ser relembrado pela tela de solicitação abaixo. Podemos lembrar aos amigos que podemos alugar SPS pelo próprio jogo Splinterlands:

Ou seja, foram apenas 210 DEC para ter 10K SPS durante 7 dias! Obviamente isso me custou o dobro para cobrir a temporada toda! Uma pequena taxa de 1 DEC é cobrada por cada split da ordem de aluguel, então ao todo ainda queimei 9 DEC em taxas.

Alugar SPS tem por intenção aumentar as recompensas recebidas durante cada partida, afinal existe um multiplicador que concede mais pontos para quem tem mais SPS. Existe uma tabela de referência para você saber quanto SPS precisa para receber o máximo de pontos na liga em que se encontra.

A decisão por 10K de SPS é aleatória, não tem um motivo específico. O multiplicador obtido é exibido na tela de batalha do jogo:

Cards alugados durante a temporada anterior

A locação de cards necessários para manter competitivo nas ligas BRONZE 1 Modern e GOLD 3 WILD e também para conseguir jogar o torneio entre alianças, chamado de Bralw, é feita através do site PeakMonster.

Essa tela é atual, então os cards devem ser desconsiderados pois são locações para temporada atual. É possível baixar o relatório em CSV e filtrar os dados. Foi assim que cheguei no valor investido com locação de cards, que totalizou 991 DEC durante os dias da temporada

Eu também loquei alguns cards de level baixo durante a temporada, por exemplo minha invocadora Kelya Frendul level 3 que foi alugada gerando um pouco de valor para subsidiar o aluguel do invocador Thaddius Brood level 5 usado para jogar na liga Gold 3, Wild Mode. Esses pequenos valores foram ignorados, de forma a mostrar ao novo jogador que não tem card algum quanto é preciso investir para ter o resultado semelhante ao meu.

Os cards alugados são prioritariamente os mais baratos, com level adequado ao custo benefício de jogar na liga em que me encontro. Claro que isso torna mais barato, então leve em consideração antes de tentar fazer isso em casa.

SPS recebidos na temporada anterior

Somando todas os recebimentos acumulei 157 SPS que foram devidamente guardados em STAKE de forma a começar o processo de recuperação do meu STAKE.

Com essa informação podemos finalmente ir até nosso portal preferido e calcular o swap SPS:DEC. Eu prefiro olhar no BeeSwap:

Então conseguimos perceber a relação entre os ganhos (3680 DEC) e os custos (1420), restando como resultado final

Saldo Final: 2260 DEC positivo ou 95 SPS positivo

Esse resultado é positivo, e isso é o mais importante. Isso porque ainda temos as recompensas em NFT que são os cards recebidos nos baús de recompensas. Todos esses ativos ainda podem ser negociados, guardados, delegados, alugados ou simplesmente valorizados ao longo do tempo.
