The COMtest is a highly-anticipated event within the comedy scene, attracting both established and up-and-coming comedians from all over the blockchain. The Comedy Open Mic Community is a platform that allows them to showcase their talents while also competing for a substantial prize pool. In addition to providing a platform for comedians to showcase their skills, the COMtest also serves as an important barometer for the state of comedy in the blockchain.

As one of the largest blockchain-based comedy events in the world, the COMtest has always been an essential part of our mission to promote and nurture the best comedy talent from all around the blockchain. Since this COMmunity was re-established, we have seen some incredible posts and we have been impressed by the level of creativity and talent within the comedy community.

This contest promises to be even more exciting with the partnership with The LOLZ's Fun House. The LOLZ's Fun House has been a constant supporter of the most entertaining and innovative comedy shows on Hive. They are known for their unique approach to comedy and their commitment to supporting emerging talent.

The Rules

Of course, most people will have to follow the rules of the community overall before anything else. But, there are a few rules to add when it comes to entering the contest.

  • You need to have all the FUN tags in your post. The FUN tags are #fun, #funny, #lolz, #comedy, #jokes, and #play2earn. You will also need to the add the tag #comtest

  • You need to comment on at least three posts by others

  • You need to drop a link to your entry in the comment section of this post

  • Include a link to this post somewhere in your entry. So hopefully others can find it and participate.

  • You may have up to three entries only, but only one will be eligible for rewards.

  • This one isn't a rule, but it would be appreciated if you reblog and share this post announcement around.

Your judges for this COMtest will be @amirtheawesome1, @dandays, and @merit.ahama and of course, there will be consultants from the LOLZ's Fun House to determine the winners.

Prizes

Thanks to @captaincryptic's generous donation of 30 HIVE, and 2000 FUN, the Prizes distribution will go as follow:

Top 3
  • First place: 20 Hive and 500 FUN tokens
  • Second place: 15 Hive and 250 FUN tokes
  • Third place: 5 Hive and 250 FUN tokens
Honourable Mentions

Five more people will be getting 2 Hive and 200 FUN tokens each for being an honourable mention.

Curation

This extends to every post in the COMmunity but will be specifically focused on the COMtest entries for the next two weeks. Every post that follows the COMmunity guidelines as well as the COMtest rules will eligible for curation from both the LOLZ' Fun House and our long-standing partner and support, the @OCD.

Length

The COMtest will extend for two weeks as of the moment this post is published and will run for two weeks. A post will be published this time next week to let everyone know which posts are still eligible for the COMtest's final rewards and another to announce the ending of the COMtest. After that, our judges will go through the posts and determine the winners which may take another week at best.

Regarding the rule number 5. Does that mean for the two weeks of the contest we are eligible to make only 3 posts though only one will be considered? Don't know if I get that right?

You did get it right. You're still free to make as many posts in the COMmunity as you want, but just three for the contest. This is because of the time issue and the limited number of judges.

@amirtheawesome1 I'm going through these posts to fulfill my comtest comment obligations like a good soldier and most of the posts are tragedy's. Lads getting taken for a ride in ponzi schemes. other lads getting caught in traffic all day . It actually has me in stitches and put a smile on my face. Best Comtest ever. I am just waiting on a post titled "My brother got brutally murdered by the drug dealer down the street LOLZ "
