Dubai Aquarium inside Dubai Mall

In my last post I talked about how I have spent the whole day at Dubai Mall, but could not visit the Dubai Aquarium because of the time constraint. So we again visited the Mall just to see the Aquarium. Since my daughter insisted us to take her to the Aquarium when see saw the Aquarium from outside.

It would take anywhere between 2 to 3 hours if you want to visit the full aquarium as they have a lot of things to see from inside. Most of the people usually watch is from outside itself where you can see some of the great water animals including the shark. I must tell you that the Aquarium has a whole gives you the mesmerizing view to the world of ocean. I guess they have almost all the varieties of marine life out there. It is great for teh kids as they can see so many water animals at one place.

It also gives you the close-up encounter of some of the creatures and its worth encountering it which usually we don't get it always. So we have booked the ticket using Klook app. It gives good discount for the first time and when you book more you get more rewards. I like their all in one package where you can select activities based on your preference.

Underwater Encounter

Since it is located inside the Dubai Mall we have again taken the Metro and went inside it since we already had the ticket. The opening hours of Zoo is 10 AM and we have visited somewhere around noon . To be honest the aquarium is quite big and being it inside the Mall is unthinkable but hey its Dubai here anything can be possible. The good thing is it is open till 10 PM on weekdays and night 12 AM on weekends, so you can enjoy it fully.

When we get inside the aquarium is it like you are walking through a tunnel and you can see the animals up down and side. It looks like a tank from outside and tunnel from inside and people walking from the middle.

And as you walk through the tunnel you can see the fishes on the both side. The fishes which you can watch from outside from a distance can be watched very closely as you can watch through the aquarium tunnel which is 48 meter long. Some of the pictures I have taken are:

Next to the aquarium you will find the Underwater Zoo, where you can find a large number of animals inside the zoo. These zoo contains reptiles, crocodiles, penguins, jellyfish and other animals. When you come inside the Zoo it would look like the you came inside a forest environment, which seems quite amazing as we were still inside the Dubai Mall.

After that we had several encounter of some of the great ocean species which we have never seen before. Some of the photos which we have clicked are:

And at the last we had a great encounter of Penguins. I never seen the penguins in my life as it is not available in any of the Zoo which I have visited in India. So it is one of the great experience for me as I had first hand encounter of Penguins. One thing I liked about the penguins is that they are very decent one and was waiting for their turn, just behind the gate.

In the Zoo, there is an option of pampering and touching the Penguins along with the water ride and scuba diving and they are charged extra. We did not taken any extra services though, so we just walked around watching the animals inside the Zoo and encounter various species which I have not seen earlier along with the penguins.

In the penguin section they have two different thing, one where the Penguins were waiting for their turn whereas other where they were swimming quickly and nicely and there was a glass window from where we can see everything.

Now when we have gone to Dubai Aquarium there was a question mark whether it would be a good experience. We can see the the whole aquarium from outside then why to waste money to go inside. But trust me it is worth spending the money for the encounter or the happiness you will get when you go inside the aquarium. We can see most of the aquarium fishes from outside, but trust me it is just 5% of the total animals which are inside. There are huge number of fish which we have never seen, penguins, crocodile and other things which actually gives you immense pleasure to watch.
