RE: Mirrors and Numbers

Personally, I matured long before I attained the legal age. I wasn't thrusted with responsibilities or anything of sorts. It just happened that I had developed in my mental and emotional capacities, far from how it should be in a child. And too, my friends were older persons with whom until date, I have no idea how I always manage to find myself in their midst and rather than be seen as "the smallie," be treated without demeaning regard. Evidently, in such environment, it is largely impossible for my views to not metamorphose.

I hold some sentiments on if age is merely a number, but I am convinced that age has nothing to do with a person's maturity. At least, looking around us, we could find 12-year-olds who think/react in dignified manners that some 30-year Olds. It's an individual thing altogether.

Oh, of course. Age really isn't just a number in some sense. I think I understand your sentiments on that. Maturity is a different topic, as we agree.

I get the feeling of being undermined by people only because you're younger. Oftentimes, I distance myself from people with such mindset that I cannot know better than them in some areas simple because they're mature. I feel you.

Thankfully, we're on the same page. What's one thing your loved ones would all agree on about your personality?
