The Lily Shieldpaw and Grimbardun Smith Craze in Modern Format

Hello Splinter nerds

The new rank system is fun as long as you are an average player with a 50 percent win rate and you have money to burn getting vouchers to buy more energy which you can use to rank up.

The one obvious problem I notice is that you can be paired with a player four to five times, looks like there are not enough players playing or the others playing ain't just qualify enough to be paired with you that you get paired with the same person for 3 times and more which could be fun if you are the one winning and frustrating if the opponent is the one having winning streak.

The modern format gameplay is famous for using Lily Shieldpaw and Grimbardun Smith. players are spamming this lineup seriously and that is because of the win rate they have using it, Smith is a perfect tank that is hard to beat especially when it is supported by healers and monsters with the repair ability even though he also has a repair ability.

I am not excluded from this craze and spamming because like 60% of my battles are the combo of Lily Shieldpaw and Grimbardun Smith, then I placed one or two healers at the rear which depends on the mana cap of the battle and lastly is the monster with scattershot ability, they are the one that can get me the win in the new line up craze as they attack the rear monsters most time leading to eliminating the threat supporting and healing Grimbardun and once the rear monsters are dead, it is easier to take down Smith. This lineup doesn't work all the time but it works more than it fails.

Here is a battle that proves my theory about the Lily and Smith craze, we both use the same tactics but there was a difference in our strategy.

The opponent came with two healers to protect his tank [Smith] but I used only one healer and instead came up with two monsters with the scattershot ability.

Acid shooter & MadcAp Magus

The acid shooter is one of my favorite monsters with the scattershot ability, I love it for the poison and cripple ability which it used to weaken the opponent monsters and Madcap did a great job by afflicting most of the opponent monsters and stopping them from healing which allows me to defeat the opponent easily.

I won because I was able to eliminate the opponent's rear monsters and Smith was left unprotected so it was easy for me to take it down.

You used that weapon's training to frustrated that opponent. Didn't even manage to take out one of your card. Indeed strategy excels. Great game.
