The cons of the Modernized World
This just popped into my head today, during the time of our forefathers, I think most of them were contented with life, their main occupations were farming and hunting and their life was so simple, they just toil the soil to get food for themselves and the family, most of the work they are doing is to have money and food for their family.
No expensive school consumed their money; the wealthy among them were known for their farmlands, royalties, and merchants that sold goods.
The invention of technology made the modernized world and even though technology plays an important role in our life, we can't ignore the cons of it.
Unlike during our forefather's time they do not crave many things because there was really nothing much to crave for can't be compared with now that a lot of amazing things have been invented, such as cars, phones like Android and iPhones, modern house, and so many other beautiful things ranging from machines used in the house and also those used to beautify the surroundings.
These inventions unleash greed in people, everyone wants to acquire them which leads to not being satisfied with what they have, A guy can buy an iPhone 14 today and not be happy with it anymore when they release the iPhone 15, same with a person driving a Toyota when he sees a benz, everyone wants the best of the best and some people had to dirty their hands to get all these flashy things.
The modern world has been designed in a way that if you do not have money, you have signed up for suffering because you would not be able to live fine, and getting married would even be a problem because most girls do not want to marry someone who can't take of them. In the olden days, as long as you have a farm and cultivating crops, you can get a woman of your choice easily since food is the most important of what they need.
I love the modernized world but I won't mind if the world changes and we all go back to ancient times when all these inventions like phones were not available, my knowledge will be little but I will enjoy my life like our forefathers did.
Another thing to put into consideration is how our forefathers lived a long life and died at really very old ages like 100 plus but old men nowadays die at the age of 60 and above, it is all because of the processed food we consume now, junks and soda and others are reducing our life span, unfortunately we can't do away with them.

That´s a great point of view about the value that people take to material things, Values and other things are just not enough people have to have money and material stuff the inside does not matter anymore

I am semi retired in a rural area of the southern United States, if I'm not creating or reading content here. I'm out in the garden, we've chosen a simpler lifestyle here.

Honestly, life without money in this modern world is not fun at all.
You raised a logical reason here. That is of Crave = greed. As we are dwelling in the era of technology we are becoming more greedy and the world is becoming more materialistic.
you get it man, greeeeeeed but do we really have a choice? we gotta be greedy for certain things or else life would be so boring.
As in ennn! The old world was so simple. No cravings, living was so cheap. But ennn! On the other hand I can't imagine living without the invention of this generation. Their wahala sweet some how sha😁

Today the way we see that technology has developed a lot and because of which we are making our life much easier and also the way we all know that life is only given once, so it is better to live happily.
