My hive growth and next target

It has been an amazing journey so far and one thing I am happy about is being able to achieve my long-term goal of 20,000 hive power.

No dream is too big, you see the fact that you can dream about it is the sign you need to know that you can also achieve it, I remember back in the year 2018, I had this crazy dream of having 20,000 hive power, it was a crazy dream to have because I only had 500 hive power.

It was too big a dream for someone who earns 3 to 4 hives on a lucky day and close to nothing on bad days but that didn't stop me from dreaming big, I even jotted it down in my diary. I keep engaging on the hive platform, engaging with other hivers on Discord.

5 years later, I achieved that crazy dream. I am now an owner of 20,000 hive power, it was not easy to earn, I worked day and night, sleepless nights, a lot of engagement, lot of investment to be able to achieve it.

My max vote value at 100 percent vote power is $0.285, whenever I see this, I long for the day I would be able to reward posts with 1 dollar, and to achieve this I plan to set another goal target which is to become an Orca on Hive.

I have achieved my 20,000 hive power goals which I set for this year but next year, I will try to pursue being an Orca and I am going to give it whatever it takes. To become an Orca on Hive, one needs 50,000 plus hive power.

It is not going to be easy but with things that have happened to me in the past, I believe dreams can be fulfilled if we work hard towards them. Nothing is impossible!

My advice to newbies is that in whatever we do in life, we must have passion for it or else it is just a waste of time.

Some newbies see hive has a dumping ground, they make a post, log out from the site then come back the next day hoping to see a reward on their first post so they can make another post. it does not work that way!

When you ask the oldies how to survive on the hive platform, they will tell you to engage more with others and that is the truth!

I always tell those I onboard that whenever they publish a post, they should make sure to comment on 10 author's post and some abides by it but for those who did not and keep complaining they are not earning anything, I just let them be because I can see through them, they are not here to build and only want the money but if you want the money, you need to work for it because nothing is free even in Freetown!

Engagement always comes first!

Investment comes next after you have built your network of audience, as a newbie, take your eyes off the hive power, you can make do with your liquid HBD in case you need money to sort some things, build your hive power, it is a necessity and the more you grow it, the more you want to earn more of it and that alone is a big source of motivation.

Investing in hive secondary tokens is also necessary, you do not have to put all your eggs in one basket, you can always spread your asset on the hive blockchain too and there are many layer 2 tokens on the hive blockchain that you can invest in.
