My diary saved me from losing my Pi Tokens
I started mining the Pi token in the year 2020 and I also invited five others to mine the coin.
Fast forward to last year, I heard that Pi could be turned to Fiat, and with excitement I called my 5 referrals to share the good news with them.
The first person I called was my brother and the first question I asked him was if he kept his password safe because without it, he would not be able to migrate the coin to mainnet where it can be transferred to buyers, unfortunately he doesn't know where he kept his password which is because on that day he downloaded the app, he wrote his secret phrase on a sheet of paper, so I guess he lost the paper or he does not know where he kept it which resulted to the loss of the pi money worth more than 200 dollars.
The second person was a street brother and his first response was that he changed his phone and he didn't keep his password too, another wasted Pi.
The third person lost her phone and does not have a browsing phone at the moment, the fourth and fifth are also inactive.
I felt bad for them but I never knew their inactivities would affect me too because out of the 700 tokens that I ought to receive, only 215 are transferable while the remaining 497 are unverified and would not be released until my referrals verify their identities too.
At least I got something, this is why I always emphasize the importance of keeping records and having a diary for your password.
I was relaxed because I was sure I always put down my password and when I needed it, all I did was search my diary thoroughly, it took less than 5 minutes to find it
It still kind of hurts that I am going to miss out on the rest of the Pi but I am happy for the ones I got.

For me, I save all my password in a particular Gmail and if my phone gets lost, I can always login to my Gmail to and it has two factor authentication

I heard about it but I didn't mine because I was not interested in it and I thought it was also going to scam like other mining project.

mining apps are paying now, i know of Pi and ice token that paid people that mined
Reading this, I have come to realize the importance of having a dairy, I also make use of dairies and Gmail as well.
I'm mining it myself now but it's been a while since I've been doing it and I've accumulated 100 coins but not my KYC yet. He reads and writes the place and when he forgets, he takes it from there.
nice one, you should do your kyc so they can add you to the queue of those they will migrate their tokens to the mainnet where it can be sold

Sometimes, people are not that serious or thinking long term when it comes to storing passwords. We have to remember that we might always need it in the future, so better to keep in somewhere that we could retrieve it from when the time comes.

Right. Some believe that it's not worth the effort as it'll not pay off in the future. But little do they know what the future holds.
What about me that doesn't have any referrals but I have been constant in the game. Will I be able to sell mine?
yes, but you need to verify your identity[kyc] before you can sell it.
