Love is important in every Relationship

Love is magical, it makes you do things you never thought you could do, the first time I fell in love was with my neighbor, we were very close friends, often together day and night, before the time I met her, I was scared of climbing trees but I did this for her when we were friends and I didn't know where the courage came from.

It was on a sunny afternoon, we were strolling down the street when we branched into the house of a friend of mine who had a mango tree in their compound and she told me she felt like eating mango, I forgot all about my fear of height and without wasting any more time, I went up the tree and pluck mangoes for her to eat, damn even I was surprised later when I think about it, it was like I could not control myself and I just want to give her everything she wants, probably I would be willing to give her one of my kidney if she had asked for it.

You find yourself putting much effort into making your partner happy, and you tend to become happier when you see the smile on their face, during those time I felt like a Superman around my friend, I never knew I was in love because it was my first time having such feelings, I thought it was normal until I left town, 5 days after, in the night, on the bed, I felt something was missing in my life, suddenly something like lightening struck my heart and I remember the neighbor I left at home, I started feeling miserable since that night and I was not able to use the 2 weeks holiday with my cousin before I told her am going home. She was surprised too but love was doing me a strong thing.

I was happy to return home to see my love, I figured out I was in love and I could not control the feelings! One day I gave her my night food cos she was hungry and her parents were not back from work I starved till the next day but then I was happy doing it I smiled all night for the sacrifice I made, As time went on, It got worse, I really could not control myself around her, I hugged her everywhere I see her and it became annoying at some point, I tried to stop but whenever I see her, I throw caution to the wind and hug her, the worst happened when I hugged her when she was carrying a bucket of water and that made her drop and break the bucket, she was so angry with me.

That was my first love, I could not control my feelings, everything was so new to me and I put in all my heart!

It is like this for most people, they put all their heart into their first time of loving because they have yet to experience any heartbreak but the moment it happens the first time, they become careful in the next relationship as they are now scared to get heartbroken again.

My first love was not my first girlfriend, That was just friendship that didn't blossom into a relationship!

My first relationship was teenage love too, the feelings were mutual so it was fun, we would call and text each other so many times during the day and we also text till we fell asleep at night, it was perfect, it doesn't require me spending money because she wants me, not my money, well If she had wanted money, I had no money to give her cos I was a broke nigga!

The text and calls were sweet memories, and also when we see each other, there is always something to talk about, the first time I gave her 200 naira she was so happy, we were still young so money was not the reason we were dating, we dated because of what we felt for each other.

There is more to being in a relationship, loving someone alone doesn't guarantee it will work, there are other factors to be considered.

Maturity is quite important, you have to know when to talk and when to ignore and this is not about playing mind games, it is about letting go of some things that annoy you and looking past some of your partner's flaws, It is about knowing what you want and not let anyone toy with your feelings in the name of love

My love language is simple, I tend to give back the same energy I get, I like to treat my partner right by giving her what she wants but only a partner that treats me like a king would get a princess treatment, all is fair in love and war.

Men tend to use their heads in relationships, we can be in a relationship with someone we don't love and things would be going well unlike girls who are so emotional if a girl is in a relationship with someone she doesn't love, there tends to be issues because her heart isn't there and she would fail in her duties.

I don't like calling, I prefer texting and this caused a lot of issues in some of my past relationships but then again I realize it is those who don't love you who complain and nag you don't call, they try to make it an issue, those who love me get used to my mode of communication.

Importantly, love is very important, when you are in a relationship with someone who loves you, they will see the perfection in your imperfection.
