Better late than never
I made some very good friends when i was in secondary school, there was a guy that we started jss 2 together and completed our junior secondary school together, i moved to a public school after that and after the end of first time, he also joined me in the same school...
We were very good friends during our school days, we go home together lapping each other in commercial vehicles, we visit each others home, and also borrow each other films and play games together....
After secondary school, i left home and everything changes, there is a saying that 20 kids can not play together for twenty years, i find a path to follow after school and he also did but we still keep in touch online...
Many years later, i found hive and get to know more about the online world, he was among the first people i told about hive and the online world, because when i find something good i like to share it with friends, he is one person i can't forget because we had a lot of memories together...
He didn't take my word serious, he didn't join hive nor was he interested in the online world...This was in 2018..... I stop bothering him about it when i notice he was not a bit interested in it...
I got a message from him today, he told me he downloaded the binance app and he has been watching youtube videos but he does not understand it much...He wanted to learn P2p and spot trading and he even added he understand it is not a get rich scheme which means he has been exploring for a while but need someone to guide him...
First of all, i was happy he finally showed interest after 5 years, If only he had shown interest back then, am sure he would have gone far by now, he is someone that can achieve great things online but somehow he doesn't believe in it until now...
I am willing to teach him what he want to know but once again i am thinking of introducing hive to him one more time.....Hopefully he shows interest this time because i will only ask once and won't try to convince him to join because when you sweet talk and promise them good life on hive and the opposite happen, you will be blamed.. Don't give them high hope so they won't be disappointed in you when things didn't go the way you said.....

after she put in money, the thing crashed and she collected the money she put in back from me, am sure if it ddnt crash and she made profit, she wont give me anything... since then i stop forcing people to do things, if you do it, the profit and loss is on you not me

exactly, smart mercy... This is why my spirit of persuasion to make people do what is beneficial to them died, i tell people once, if they like do it, if they like don't, it is not on me, and i dont sweet talk, i make sure they realize what they are getting into, infact the way i will say it, they might even lose interest lol but if i see they didnt lose interest and still join, then i will kinda give them some attention on the stuff

Some people prefer to learn by experience and not be revelation.
It is much easier to bank on the experience of others to build one's experience and not learning it the hard way.
Plus one should have a mind to try something and even if one fails at it, it won't be recorded he/she never tried.
It's good he has shown interest but the difference is clear 5 years after which he cannot easily catch up with
yea he could have also been among the early people who join the online world, but it took him 5 years which he can't get back but i believe the future is still bright and many more things to come

Truly, it is better late than never. At least he has finally realized just how important it is because he probably didn't see Hive as something serious before.
he didn't take the online world serious, you know many people think online world is not real and engaging in it is wasting of time but i guess he heard testimonies from other people who has built online and that build his interest
