An unforgettable Holiday memories with friends
It is 4 days left for Christmas and 10 days for a new year to begin, I am surprised that I do not really remember the date/year of what happened in other Christmas and New Year holidays I have had but somehow the one I had in 2012 is stuck to my brain and does not look like I will ever forget about it.
Why is this holiday so special? it is because it has something to do with love and we all know the power of love and what it can do. so what really happened?
I was teaching in a primary school and after we vacated that December, I guess 14th or 15th, can't really remember, I decided to visit home not because I missed my family, but because of my love who happened to be my neighbor, I have missed seeing her. We could not contact each other because she did not have a phone, I also just got a phone a few months before that time.
it had been 7 months since we saw each other last, that was when I left to seek a greener pasture in another town, could not wait to get home to see her, so I packed my bag 2 days after the school holiday and traveled home, my people were happy to see me, I was happy to reunite with my parents too but it is not yet complete without seeing the love of my life.
I was disappointed when I got the news that the family had traveled to their hometown to celebrate Christmas and New Year, just imagine! I did not meet the reason why I decided to come home, the holiday was boring because the family that was supposed to make it interesting were gone.
You must be wondering why I said the family? oh well there were 5 children in total, 2 boys that occupied the first and second position and three girls, the second born was my best friend while the third born was the love of my life and the last born was my baby, you see why I said the family.
I packed my load in the hope of returning back to the town on Friday because school was going to resume on Monday only for them to return on Sunday night, what a twist of event, I had to change my plan of returning because my friends are back, we met the next day, they were all surprised to see me as they didn't know I was coming, it was a happy reunion and we had a lot to discuss.
I took a break of one week just to have more fun time with my people, I did not care what my boss at work was going to say, the love of my life was more precious to me than any job, oh well I won't say the same thing now, money must be earned and it should be put above every other thing lol.
I did not regret that one week because it was the best for me after all the boring time alone, nothing changed, we bonded like old times and I was glad I showed up to see them, she also had a phone now so I got her contact, I was reluctant to go back but I need to go back to the town to continue my work before my boss sacks me.

Good twist of events. It would've been an incomplete holiday if you had left to go back without meeting them. Love is a powerful feeling that makes us feel alive and light up our world.
