Free Gods Unchained packs for being an Amazon Prime subscriber!
I've written about this a couple of times before, but I just found out the other day that the ESports team at the school district I work for will be heading to the state competition this weekend. This is only the second year we have had a team, so for them to accomplish so much in just two years is pretty impressive.
They have two matches that they will hopefully be playing. If they win the first one in the morning, they then progress to the championship match later in the day.
While I am not directly involved in the ESports program for the district, I offer support to the coaches and it is something that I have been pushing to have instituted for quite some time. It wasn't until we had a new staff member come on last year and some new leadership that it finally came to fruition.
Before that I would often get laughed at or not taken seriously when I mentioned the possibility of starting a team.
I hope this is just the first in many successful years for the program. With the amount of scholarship money that is out there for ESports these days, it would be crazy for school districts not to participate in these programs.
Speaking of ESports, I saw this article the other day about Amazon Prime members getting a free pack of Gods Unchained cards.
Since I subscribe to Amazon Prime, that means I should qualify for a free pack of cards. I've never played the game before due to the high cost of gas on the Ethereum network, but I am more than willing to give it a shot if they are going to give away free NFTs.
In fact, they are actually giving away multiple packs. One each month for the next six months. They have said that the cards in the packs will not be trade-able, but they can be combined to form cards that can be traded.
If you happen to get lucky enough to create a good blend, you could make a little bit of money from the packs. Or you could play the game too. There's always that!
If you don't have an Immutable account, you obviously have to create one of those. I did not have one, so I went through the process of creating one.
It looks like they have a service kind of similar to the WAX chain called passport that allows you to use a social media account to create your on-chain account.
Then of course you need to link it to your Metamask account or whatever wallet you choose to use. It creates a key on the Immutable chain and you are good to go (I think).
Obviously, if you are already playing Gods Unchained, this is much easier!
It took a bit of going back and forth to get my accounts linked together, but eventually I got to this screen. If you aren't comfortable linking your wallet or messing around with accounts like this, it might not be worth it to you. Of course, do your own research.
