Bossingclint's Splinterlands Update 1st May

Introduction
Hey all, it's the first of May and weare fresh off the first End of Season which happened yesterday night. This is my 4th End of Season. Many changes have been implemented since the end of season and also maintenance. Some are real good, some are gonna it really tough for new players. I will share more in the later part of the post.

Season Roundup

This is the End of Season Glint that I've obtained this season:

Oh my, my end of season Glint rewards dropped as compared to last season. This could highly be due to my inability to win matches even though I did try to play harder this season. Another reason could also be many are already progressed while I am still using level 1 as I build up this account.

Next will be the sharing of the season and here is my battle stats for the whole of last season:

A total of 361 matches went through with only 132 wins, coming to a win percentage of 36%. Max streak maintained at 6 but certainly final rating is not high. I am not sure what went wrong but somehow matches are getting harder and I am really unable to win them. The losing streaks were bad too with a high of 8-10 matches experienced more than once. I am not sure if this is due to the lack of Soul Bound cards or even Gladius cards. Hopefully as I continue to grow and start adding these to my collection, I will see improvement to my win rate and possibly the Glint earned as well.

This is my current Glint boost with help from people whom are really nice in this community.

Changes
With the latest townhall and maintenance, some significant changes have came to Splinterlands.

1. No SPS staked, no rewards - I personally think this make a lot of sense as probably there are people whom exploited the system and gotten some rewards by grinding without any staked SPS. One good gesture is that new players will get 100 SPS delegated to ensure they can kick start their engine.

2. Increase Glint Rewards from Ranked Battles - For this, it looked like we earn as we play rather than waiting a double rate that come only at the end of season. While it is good since we can access to the Glint earned during the season, but it just make end of season nothing great to look towards.

3. Fixed Rarity Draws - I like this. It gives people whom are already flooded with common cards a higher chance to get something they want. The only downside is that it will limit to 1 card per draw.

4. Start cards removed from Wild Ranked Battles - This will hurt if you solely play in wild because you will no longer have access to those starter cards which are really good for a number of them. So consider playing more on Modern League.

Closing
Another season had come by us and I am still accumulating more Glint and prepare to do my draws in 10s. I really need those Soul Bound cards to match up with my opponent whom already have a tonne of them. Will continue working on getting my account in better shape as I progress.
