This is why I'm buying Hive

There's an inverse relationship between my capacity to buy hive and the dollar value of the asset. So, while the potent of a Bull market bodes well for hive holders, my strategy is dependent on the price dropping.

The good part, for my strategy, at least, is that Hive hasn't made any major moves in recent days. It has been trading marginally below the 50 cents mark and for now, there are no signs it will even reach that zone.

I haven't looked too deeply at the market and to be fair, I don't think I will have to. My plan to increase my hive stake basically involves dollar cost averaging into the market and as far as I keep buying regularly, I should be alright.

I still intend to add 400 Hive per month or roughly 100 hive per week but with a pump on horizon, I might have to set lower targets and look at how I can instead flip for profit, in the event of a pump.

Considering the trading pattern of hive over the past couple of weeks, I think anywhere between 30-40 cents assures you of some profit. At this time, 41-50 cents is the "bullish zone" and while being underwhelming, it is just a small sample size, over the recent weeks of Bitcoin dominance I'm considering.

Thanks to the internal mechanisms on Hive that enables you to retain the value of Hive at the time through instant conversion to HBD, I will buy Hive from other users, instantly convert to HBD, time the market and then buy back the hive when the price drops.

Also, trading typically slows down during the weekend and that leads to a slight drop in the price of hive, which is a good thing for my hive targets. Keep in mind that the end goal is to be Hive-rich, rather than dollar-value rich, so I'm more interested in volume.

If all goes to plan, I'll rinse and repeat the buy low-sell high cycle to squeeze out more hive. My strategy is technically sell high and buy low but it's all the same. At the end of the day, it is about increasing volume but doing it when we're at the precipice of a bull market is ill-advised and that adds an extra layer of difficulty.

Bought more hive

So, yeah, I added a small amount of hive to push my hive stake. However, I bought at an average price of $0.456, so I swapped for HBD and will hold it while watching the market.

Just as I explained earlier, I'll be looking to buy Hive when the price drops. This way, I'll get a bit more Hive from my purchase.

I also intend to apply this strategy for my hive payouts. Ironically, while I'm dependent on the value of hive dropping, this sell high and buy low approach will be even more favourable for my plan to increase hive stake when the value of hive pumps.

Basically, when hive pumps, payout values tends to rise with it but the actual volume of hive you receive will drop. Naturally, upvotes values will go up with the market but like I said, the opposite sort of happens to the amount of hive power you receive.

Instead of 100% powering up my publications, I'll leave it at 50:50, earn the hive power and then just wait out the bullishness in the air. Through this approach, I'll technically be reducing the average price of purchases hive and in turn, grow my hive stake faster.

I'll also keep a small amount of Hive liquid, just in case a crazy pump comes along. That way, I'll have more ammunition to attack the bear market, when it eventually comes around.

I wish I had the means to start that early. I would have been much closer to my target.
