Crypto therapy on a shitty day

I can't quantify how much I hate anything or scenario where my regular programming is tampered with. I know life can't be perfect but I'm a stickler for schedules, and whenever one thing falls out of place, it feels like the world is coming to an end.

The past couple of days have been immensely frustrating for me and for the most part, it is not my fault. As if danger to my physical health wasn't bad enough, I now have to deal with mental strain.

A couple of days, it was once again announced that the National grid got shut down. For people who don't know, the National grid is the central electricity generation for the whole country.

Lets not even get into how ridiculous it is that each state doesn't generate its own electricity. The main point is that we barely have electricity.

I rely on electricity for virtually everything, and that includes my work. It also includes my major source of entertainment in my Playstation. In fact, the only bright spot in my life these past few days was that I sleep and wake up beside my wife.

As if the electricity situation wasn't fucked up enough, there's also water shortage due to a problem with the water pump. However, the problem persisted for the past couple of days, and we thought it might have been a problem with the water level.

For like three days now, that has felt like an eternity, there's not been water flowing inside the house. Also, note that unlike electricity, water supply is very decentralised.

There's no government pipeline or anything like that. You dig, you install pumps, pipes and everything independently.

Since I'm paying rent, the facilities don't belong to me, so we have to wait for a while before the bureaucracy sorts it out. Well, this time I got so pissed that I took matters into my own hands.

Anyway, due to this situation, I've been really off the pace in pretty much every aspect of my life. First of all, I haven't had a bath in over 24 hours, and that makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I didn't attend my data science class, or go to the gym. On top of that, I've not just felt like reading anything. As if everything isn't fucked up enough, the dog keeps messing up the house with her piss and shit.

Hopium and Copium

We have two 20 litre buckets, so I used them to fetch water into the 120 litre drum in the guest room/office toilet. I'm quite impressed by my stamina because the tap I fetched water from is about 150m from our place.

I got on my laptop and wanted to write something about Coinbase and their crappy listing policy. I decided to avoid the topic because I don't want to get into something that'll piss me off.

For what it's wort, COinbase listed a couple of ass coins that have either been dead or home to rugpulls. Yet, for some reason, they ignore Hive that offers actual value.

At the end of the day, all these exchanges are as cash grabby as they come . If you look beyond their virtue signalling about pushing crypto mainstream, you'll see it.

Anyway, as I sit in this office that reeks of dog piss and fur that's making me sneeze, I look at my crypto portfolio. It is sparse consolation but it is a reason to smile.

The crypto market is still in the gutters and things could even get worse than they are but in everything, I still have gratitude.

I'm in a very solid position right now and I have enough to cope until something positive comes around.

I look at my HBD savings and I'm just glad that I get the opportunity to be in this fine position. After losing as much as I did earlier this year, I'm surprised that I had enough to get back on the horse.

I'm just going salvage whatever is left of the day and try to have a good time. It might involve some alcohol and staring at the 20% APR I'll get for saving HBD.

Fetching water in a far distance from the home can be so annoying at times, oh no! I said to myself, "how can I get it fixed and not be going far places for this", electricity has been what we haven't seen for years now, even in my area and to get your phone charge, one need to on his generator and the sound coming out of it, would really got you messed up, sad till you forget the plan of the day.

You don't have a generetor for power if the grid shuts down?

I do and it's very noisy and can't power everything.

I like your analysis on Coinbase. There are some projects that struggle to be functional, while an ecosystem like HIVE is ignored.

Coinbase is definitely shitty.. and has high fees.. but it's exceptionally easy to use.

So easy even I can do it.

Anything easy comes with a price.

Lubricant is essential for your vehicle engine and whenever someone is about to fuck you in the ass.
Coinbase doesn't fix vehicle.

People only love coinbase because of their simplicity but the charges are high and that is what lubricate their community..🤣🤣

We live in Africa so this is what we have come to expect and there is no sugar coating how backward everything is.

Damn, you are in quite a mess indeed. It may be a stupid question but how hard is it to get solar panels installed so you can have some electricity when the grid goes down again?

Shit those are fucking expensive and remember that my time in Nigeria is very limited. Can't afford to pay for stuff like that.

If we highlighting the mess created in this our Africa region, we will be the one to get tired. Nothing is working in this country of ours, we can only hope that things gets better. For now you have to deal with the generator noise to achieve your activities.

That's the real problem. The gen causes much expenses but it seems we are left with no choice unless you want to option for an inverter and solar panel with is also quite expensive.
