Christmas is in the air

Despite being low on energy and pretty much being in zombie mode, we managed to explore the city center this evening. For what it's worth, I'm already used to seeing the city center at night but I'd never been there at night in non work mode.

Anyway, we strolled for a while and then ended up at a Falafel spot named Falafel. We tried what the menu describes as a Turkish style falafel.

I've been interested in trying falafel for quite a while now. One of my favourite tiktok food content creators often mentions it and so, I planned to give it a try.

What I would say is that it was not spicy, even though we requested a spicy version. It also didn't have any meat inside. So it was basically a colourful salad wrapped in bread.

Overall, I feel like the falafel did not meet the hype and excitement in my head. It basically tasted like a colourful salad in very flat bread.

Anyway, the Nottingham Christmas village thingy has started and I hear it will run all the way through Christmas. There's a lot of street food and fun stuff going on but what caught my eye was ice skating.

It should go without saying that I haven't seen or experienced ice skating before. It was a surreal experience that in hindsight, I should have taken pictures. I'll take them the next time we go there.
