Splinterlands - When poisoned, one card can make all the difference

In Splinterlands, the amazing play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, battles simply bring a lot of adrenaline starting with your lineup and combining the rule sets of the fight. And one that it is hard for me to decipher is the Poisoning which implies that all fighters take damage at the start of each round. So in such games, a single card can make all the difference in the end as this is a game of survival, rather than focusing on making the most damage to the enemy with one fighter or the other. So it is imperative to use monsters that can heal themselves or others from the formation.

Strategy

For this game I have picked the Flesh Golem as the first card as it has the Heal ability, which restores 1/3 of the unit health each round while having also 10 Life. The second position was taken by the Minotaur Warrior which has the Reach ability and can strike from second position. The Wood Nymph is a card that I play it whenever is available as it is acting as a Tank Heal which restores 1/3 of the unit health in the first position each round. Next I thought of using the Ava the Undaunted for its Weapons Training together with the Clockwork Aide which has no weapons but inherits the training, while ending up with the Furious Chicken.

Round 1

In the first round everything was good as all fighters were healthy and they've tried doing as much damage as they could.

Round 2

The second round already did good damage to my formation and it already wiped my Wood Nymph which I had big hopes for. I was starting to feel that I will get a good beating in this one.

Round 3

Third round came quite earlier, but already had me with only two fighters on the board, while my enemy had five fighters. I was starting to resign about the outcome...

Round 4

Round four followed and by taking a look on the board I have realized that while my enemy had four fighters, their life was max 2, while even if I had only fighters one of them - the Flesh Golem - had 4 mana for Life. And guess what will happen...?

You guessed right, the poison come into effect and it wiped all my enemy fights, while on my side the Flesh Golem was holding on with 4 mana left for Life. And this got me a sweet, but unexpected victory.

This is my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge participation with the theme of: Share Your Battle. Unexpected wins, when you lose all the hope are boosting of adrenaline and I think this was a good one. The fighting is fierce, but understanding the rules can bring serious advantage to one of the fighters. And this one shined for me!
