Even if we are crossing a harsh crypto winter, the airdrops from Splinterlands raise the temperature through a burning flame. And the last NFT airdrop in the form of Immortalis, brought me a lot of joy and happiness showing that the game can thrive while getting back to basics and developing what has been proven to work. And with the Immortalis Legendary earth summoner, I am sure that any enemy will have a fate worse than death on the battlefield.

With 541 Chaos Legion packs eligible for this airdrop, I entered the raffle and was lucky enough to get x4 Standard Cards with Immortalis, the Earth Legendary Summoner. While a Gold Foil would have been awesome, I am quite happy with my draw of 4 cards. This would allow me to combine them up to Level 2, but being a Legendary Summoner would enable Level 5 Common cards + Level 4 Rare cards + Level 3 Epic cards + Level 2 Legendary cards, which would make a competitive deck in Gold League.

Considering also the future changes in the game with the Soulbound Reward cards, the current airdrops are becoming more valuable as these along with the other collection launches will be the only ones tradeable on the market. I am not a fan of the Soulbound concept as it is tapping into the economy built in Splinterlands by restricting it, but I am willing to give it a try and see how the entire card market is affected. If that makes the collection cards' price increase, probably it makes it a good move. If not, maybe they can drop the idea in the future.

But while the future is unclear and we can only wait and see and live it, I will be surely enjoying my Immortalis Legendary summoners. With powerful abilities like Shatter, Void, and Decrease Enemy Health by 1, for sure will lead the mighty warriors to victory!
