Sharing Hive and Leo Finance content on socials

So, you've written an article on the Leo Finance community and Hive blockchain and published it within this ecosystem. Is that all that's needed? Might be if you want things to stale and not get enough traction, but if you want more for sure sharing and linking the content on social media is mandatory. When I am referring to sharing on socials basically I am speaking about how your content gets noticed in the sea of information that is out there.

First, you need to establish yourself on different social networks from where you can create cross-links to your articles. Following is a list of socials you should be present:

  • Reddit
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • Facebook
  • Discord
  • YouTube

To boost up the presence on such socials, there are some tips to get more tractions than compared to others. Here are some points on that.

  1. Add a short bio summarizing your focus on your writing space/domain. You should even add a link to your starting page on Leo Finance/Hive blockchain.
  2. Add a photo or image that's meaningful to you and the domain you are writing about. People live a photo as that triggers their imagination when seeing it.
  3. Don't just throw a link to your post, but instead try to engage with other users through challenging them, asking questions or showing what you do. Embed the link in that context.
  4. Hashtags on keywords in order to have that presented also on feeds containing common topics. This will increase exposure.
  5. Engage and follow in order to build a social user base and expand your horizons.
  6. Consider sharing on socials as a routine and make a habit of being present on those.

Through these simple steps, we can give our articles an outreach outside this ecosystem. The results can be that other users from the community will see it, visit the post, comment and leave an upvote, but at the same time, we can bring new users into the ecosystem. Growing in numbers benefits us all, so why wouldn't we do it?!...

Damn I really hate the social media platforms and just can't do this as firstly I am only involved with 1 being twitter and never joined the other nonsense.

Each social media has its uniqueness and distinguishing characteristics. One type or format of the content may not fit in on all social media platforms.

Your message would be the same but need to change the outlook based on where you are. Like you are the same person but your dress up and the way you interact are different when you are in the office with your colleagues, at a party with your friends or you are on a family vacation.

Do you know a good way to promote Hive content? I know for example about Leofinance discord where I can share my Leofinance’s posts. But I don’t know a equivalent for Hive, I’m writing content out of LeoFinance and it is doing poorly compared to my LeoFinance content :_(

As a long-time blogger at venues other than Hive, part of what I am working towards is creating more content "in the style" of what I did before Hive... thereby making my Hive content relevant to external venues where I have an established identity.

One of the important aspects of externally marketing Hive/Leo Finance is precisely to make sure what you're pitching has venue relevance. Posting an article about blockchain mechanics makes NO sense in a cooking group on Facebook, and will just be considered spam... so we must be discerning!

Great tips @behiver. I always share all my posts on Twitter. Social signals are important for SEO and Google does consider those while ranking the pages.
