Early Morning Watering the Garden Mood

At the bottom of my heart I am clearly a night owl and not a larch, yet I love this early morning mood in spring and summer, when the air is still cooler, but the rising sun already announces the new day.
Im Grunde meines Herzens bin ich ja eindeutig eine Nachteule und keine Lärche, dennoch liebe ich diese frühmorgendliche Stimmung im Frühling und Sommer, wenn die Luft noch kühler ist, aber die aufgehende Sonne schon den neuen Tag ankündigt.

It is the best time to water the garden and this is also an activity that I always love to do. The fresh patter of water, I could do this for hours.
Es ist die beste Zeit, den Garten zu gießen und auch das ist eine Tätigkeit die ich immer sehr gerne mache. Das frische Prasseln des Wassers, ich könnte das stundenlang machen.

It is at this moment that all four elements are united. Earth - Water - Fire (Sun) - Air. Maybe that's what makes it so special. Some nice shadows for Melinda and the shadow hunters are there too, of course.
Es sind in diesem Moment alle vier Elemente vereint. Erde - Wasser - Feuer (Sonne) - Luft. Vielleicht macht es das so besonders. Ein paar nette Schatten für Melinda und die Schattenjäger sind da natürlich auch mit dabei.

Peppers / Paprika


Eggplant blooms / Melanzani (Auberginen) blühen


A so-called spice tagetes, which is supposed to keep the snails away from the vegetables / Eine sogenannte Gewürztagetes, die angeblich die Schnecken vom Gemüse fern halten soll


Also the bean flowers are totally pretty / Auch die Bohnenblüten sind total hübsch


Growing peas / Zuckererbsen


Lollo Rosso lettuce / Lollo Rosso Salat


Tomatoes / Paradeis (Tomaten)


Zucchini, of which we have already harvested two. / Zucchini, von denen wir schon zwei geerntet haben.


Kohlrabi


Raspberries / Himbeeren


And potatoes I am trying to grow this year in a large pot. / Und Kartoffeln, die versuche ich dieses Jahr mal wieder in einem großen Topf anzubauen.

Your garden is looking lovely. You have a lot of variety. I totally understand you wanting to water the plants in the morning. I aslo enjoy the cooler air and the sound of the spray of water. It is too hot later in the day anyway.

I love mornings! Your plants look so much better than mine. I have had so much damage from chipmunks. I have moved many of the plants in on the screen porch, but they are not getting nearly enough Sun and I would be very surprised if they produce anything. My potted cucumber plant has produced a few cucumbers and I have had plenty of lettuce and spinach but nothing else is doing really well. Your plants all look fabulous.

Sehr schöne Auswahl an Gemüse. Das mit den Gewürztagetes wusste ich noch nicht, aber Frau sagt gerade, sie hat das schon mal gehört.

Ja mir war das auch neu. Schwer zu sagen ob die Tagetes wirklich helfen da bei der Hitze heuer eh weniger Schnecken 🐌🐌🐌 unterwegs sind

Ich bin definitiv eine Lärche. Meistens gegen 5.00 Uhr wach, auch wenn der Wecker erst etwas später klingelt. Vor allem im Hochsommer würde ich mich nur unnötig von links nach rechts werfen, stünde ich nicht sofort auf.

Der frühmorgendliche Gang zum Garten, um die Pflanzen zu wässern ist auch für mich herrlich. Vor allem, weil ich die Ruhe liebe. Die meisten Menschen schlafen noch und ich habe die Welt für mich allein.

Meine Paradeiser (ich liebe euer Wort für Tomaten) wachsen auch sehr schön, leider sind noch keine reif geworfen. Ein paar Wochen dauert es wohl noch. Dafür konnte ich schon etliche Zucchinis ernten und sämtliches Strauchobst.

Hab einen schönen Wochenanfang.
