OK! My Land Management Sucks!

The author of the post discusses his land management in the game Splinterlands and how he plans to fix it using Barron's Toolbox. He mentioned that he didn't have enough DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) to populate all his plots, didn't have good enough cards for his plots, and hastily populated the plots without optimization. He then introduced Barron's Toolbox as a solution to his problems. The author explains that he used the "Leaderboard" feature in the game to determine his position and understand the importance of SPS (Skill Points per Second), Research, and Grain. He also compares his performance with another player in his region using Barron's Toolbox. The author emphasizes the significance of Research and how he was underperforming in that area. He showcases his progress in fixing his land management using beta cards. The post includes images and links for reference.

[EN/PT] Battle Mage Secrets, Back to Basics!

This post discusses the Back to Basics ruleset in the game Splinterlands. In this ruleset, all monsters lose their abilities, so players must adjust their strategies accordingly. The author recommends choosing monsters with high health for the front positions and magic and ranged damage monsters for the rear positions. He also suggested using high-speed monsters for the advantage of attacking first. Legendary summoners can help alleviate the loss of abilities by granting abilities to increase magic and ranged damage or counter these types of damage. The post includes an example battle in the Gold League, where the author shares his lineup strategy and analyzes the battle. He concludes by emphasizing the importance of using monsters with high health and attack power in rulesets like Back to Basics.

[ENG/ESP] Art Contest Week 276 - Armorsmith

This post features an art contest entry titled "Armorsmith." The artist took inspiration for the character's face from Prince Erick from The Little Mermaid. The drawing incorporates shades of blue, orange, cream, and peach for the character's features and shades of gray, brown, and green for the environment. The artist struggled with creating a background and ultimately decided to depict a road with rocks and trees, with mountains in the background representing quarries. The artist also mentioned difficulties in drawing the character's eyes due to the small size of the drawing. The post includes step-by-step images of the drawing process. The artist concludes by expressing satisfaction with the final result and welcoming comments from viewers.

Splinterlands art contest #276 (Feasting Seaweed)

This post is a recap of the author's entry into the Splinterlands art contest. The author chose to draw a card called "Feasting Seaweed," which depicts a hand drowning in a swarm of cannibalistic seaweeds with teeth and Venus flytrap-like buds. The author explains her process, which involved taking a picture of their hand for reference, sketching it on paper, and then importing the sketch into Medibang Paint Pro to trace and add details. She also added vines on separate layers and shaded them to create depth. The buds were colored with shades of red, and the hand was given a tangerine shade and blurred to make it look like skin. The author also added teeth on the vines and background to make it look like the scene was underwater in a swamp. They made some light adjustments and added their watermark before presenting the final piece.

[EN/PT] How I got to Splinterlands

This post is a personal reflection on the author's journey into Splinterlands. The author explains that he was influenced by a YouTuber to start playing Splinterlands and invested $200 to begin his journey. He initially played the game daily and reinvested his earnings into buying more cards. The author mentions the scarcity of game assets and the simplicity of the game as factors that attract many players. He also highlights his participation in the Splinterlands challenges and the Brazilian community on Hive as factors that helped them grow his collection. The author mentions having to sell some assets due to real-life setbacks but still has around $500 worth of cards. He expresses his intention to gradually grow their account again and accumulate as much SPS (Splinterlands' governance token) as possible. The post concludes with a recommendation to new players to start slowly and highlights the global community aspect of Splinterlands.
