Moana Needs To Come.

untitled.gif

Anyone who tells you life isn't a movie. Tell the person to come to Hive. It'll make things better and clearer. When the zealy September campaign ended, I didn't have it in mind to join in October.

I was like, "No!", not me. But, then October came and... and... Well, I think I may have joined in. At first, it was hard getting an invite, and I almost gave up until I got my invite accepted. It was right then that the journey started.

Just like the movie Moana, I was Te Fitti. I slept better, ate well, and was more relaxed, but all of a sudden, I turned into a monster. Sleep became my sworn enemy and staying awake became my new form of bestie. It was unbelievable!

It was right then that I knew I had become the person I dreaded. Just like how Te Fitti's relic was stolen by Maui, so was mine. It wasn't funny then, not funny now and I don't think it'll ever be funny. But, being the kind of person I am, well, I can't help seeing the fun part of things.

Maybe it's because I am more than a normal sane person, you know. Maybe, that's that. But to tell the truth, I think I have become a zombie!

I didn't know how it happened, but it is the truth. So if I pass you by without saying "Hello", you should know the zombie rule of why I did that. Wait, don't tell me you don't! Phew, it's simply because you don't have a brain I can eat!

untitled.gif

Let's leave that and get to why I need Moana. So, it happened that for the last few weeks, I have been angry for no reason, which is very unlike me. I get irritated with unnecessary talks that I love and lots more! This made me turn Te kā! Who we all know was once Te Fitti. Now, tell me, what are the odds? Why isn't Moana coming to save me from this phase that I have found myself in? Zealy has done me well with sleepless nights and unexplainable mood, which I know is mainly because I haven't had a good sleep.

So, if your name starts with the letter M or as an additional letter O to it, you need to come right now before I turn Hive upside-down. And, if it's money you need to come, you don't have to worry. The #Comedyopenmic Mod and owner has a lot to give out that I can assure you. And if they don't, you can ask from the first 2 to 3 people that comment on this post, which likely will be #Pixresteemer #luv or #beer, then maybe #hivebuzz or #lol

Well, you have options to choose from dearest Moana, so come now and save me just like how Clark Kent saved Smallville and the world in American movies.

Ps:If you don't find this fun enough, try reading again and again, I am sure your sense of humor will find you soon.

That campaign tough oo. Turned one into zombie, unexpected mood swings and the worst is having to stay awake all night just so you don't miss any quest. But in the end, we are happy.

The campaign was full of fun especially for people like me who didn't get someone to join in time. It was more that stressful. Next month is loading

I love that song... Love it! (I sing is sometimes... don't tell!)

Honey, angel, beautiful lady...

What has changed in the last few weeks for you.

Maybe go back and start there?

Any new come into your life or returned to your life?

Any new foods or eating patterns?

What has changed in your world recently?

I feel the same about the song, too. Hehe

Hmm, momma bear. A lot. I have been eating less, getting too stressed, and everything has changed. But, I am trying my best to sort things out, though, like we always do, one step... little steps matter... just like that.

Oh

So I had a thing this week.

Some folks in the village have taken umbrage to me.

And a couple (or more) other humans in the village. There's a "group' that pretty much runs the show around here (as usual)

So they took it upon themselves to smash the car I finally got. And, of course, nobody in the village will talk or help because everyone is terrified of them. I'll share more later when I'm not living here because I'm more "woke" these days, as to how this works (doesn't work) and how to deal with this type of thing in my country. It is what it is and one must work smart.

But this incident (for me after doing this stuff for some years) goes like this:

  1. incident
  2. "flashback" - for me this was both my early childhood because my family excluded me and picked on me (long story and am going to write that book to explain this to people soon - but it's basically family dysfunction because of mulit-generational trauma and the subsequent family "roles" that are unconsciously assigned to people in the situation)
  3. Flashback = Hard to sleep (😘 ), my eating changed (lost my appetite) etc = this is C-PTSD (the fight/flight stress reaction - the "flight" one specifically = "anxiety" some folks still call it) because this situation mimicked my early childhood situation and my brain sends out a warning signal to be on the alert. Of course. i.e being targeted and "hurt"/"attacked" and nobody will acknowledge it or help
  4. My fix = well.. I've done a lot of recovery so I could see what is going on and when you see what it is that is causing the flashback, the flashback abates (but I've done trauma recovery over five years for my developmental trauma as well. You may find it a bit more elusive to pin point if you haven't dug around yet)

So it's worth trying to pin point when this reaction began, see. This will give you a clue as to what you may need to go back and deal with. And this may also take time. i.e what interaction, conversation, movie, post, whatever...

For now managing it is fine.

Walking in nature (barefoot!); making sure you eat and drink water (! force yourself to if you don't feel like it); I take half an over the counter sleeping pill and go to bed super early during times like this; I make sure I filter my content online (only happy, uplifting stuff); mindfullness practices like yoga and physical exercise; dancing and music (for me = I just had a great boogie for half an hour in my lounge on my own! 😀)

i.e "grounding" activities (see DBT for good ones) Not sure why they don't teach this in schools 🧐

https://dialecticalbehaviortherapy.com/

Do this until is passes but for the future this is where I really started to make connections.

  1. begin checking in with your nervous system (instead of your thinking!) as often as you can during the day i.e how your body is feeling

Just start there.

And do it as often as you can.

I am aware of this 100% the whole day I'm awake now. I've been practicing this for years though.

I know immediately when to take some kind of action these days to "ground" myself before it escalates. And it also alerts me to things that aren't necessarily good for me to be around.

Dr Steven Porges - The PolyVagal Theory (The Therapist Uncensored website - they are sharing amazing info, tools and skills to manage and even heal this 👍)

I'd suggest you start there :)

Only suggestions. You've got this!

But, in my experience, unless you find the cause this will probably keep happening to you.

And, in my experience again, it can be permanently fixed.

I don't understand why humans can be so distasteful, but trying to understand isn't something I'll like to edge towards.

I am sorry about your car and the fact that there's fear around that makes people turn blindly to what they are supposed to stand up for. It really isn't a healthy place to be in, and I hope you get out soon.

Families life, backgrounds, and all can really get to us because they are the closest people to us.

I am glad you had your fix. It is super nice and healthy.

And all these that you've shared make the light hope ignites and the belief that things will surely get better.

I take water... a lot even more than I take food. Nature helps a great deal. I can attest to that. Singing and dancing are just the right vibes needed for that peace to occur.

I clicked on the link, and I like what I see. I'll check in more to see where it will lead me. Thanks for sharing this beauty with me. You are an angel.

That's the truth. When we find the cause of a problem, it is easier to deal with it.

Thanks for taking your awesome time to share all. I truly appreciate it. Thanks 😊 🫂.

Aw... angel you.

A friend once shared this quote with me:

“Other people's heads are too wretched a place for true happiness to have its seat.”
Arthur Schopenhauer, Parerga and Paralipomena: Short Philosophical Essays, Vol. 1

I must say he's the most happy, resilient person I know :)

I don't think one needs to know more abut a person's thinking than understanding more about human nature and the "thinking" that follows.

You can't really take things personally when you really "get this".

But...

your empathy is received with tons of gratitude and makes keeping on keeping on far easier! So thank you 😊🔥

And ditto on the time and energy, sister.

Take care of you too and I'll see you in the week again <3

I like that quote, and I am adding it to my quote list. Thanks for sharing that.

Hmm, that's right.

It is so beautiful to know that it is. That alone keeps me going, too.

Take care of you too, Momma bear.
