Can Beauty Come Out Of Ashes?

avatar

We all find life beautiful and ugly because we know it is true, which it is. The beauty of life can be so heartwarming that we usually find it hard to contain the joy that fills our heart and the moment the bad side arises, we let our sadness flow through, or sometimes hide it from people.

The beauty of life and its ugliness makes me ask this question;

Can beauty truly come out of ashes?

As far as I can tell, we have little or more knowledge of the term "Ashes", but if by chance you don't, it is nice you found your way here.

When we hear the words ashes we know it is a waste. Something that isn't useful and should be thrown away. Being an African, I would like to inform you that ashes aren't a waste.

I can still remember the days Mum would ask me to use ashes gotten from burnt wood to scrub the back and side of the pots at home. It is interesting to see that the once-black-smoked used pot turns shiny after washing it with ashes.

The beauty that comes out of ashes. Isn't it?

In my short tale, we can read that the once-darkened pot due to smoke became beautiful with the presence of ashes. Therefore, I ask again;

Can beauty come out of ashes?

Do I plan on stopping on this thought alone? You may ask. Be ready as I am here to give more answers.

We all know the story of Phoenix... Don't we? If by chance you don't, I welcome you in once more.

In the phoenix story as I was told by grandma. A Phoenix is a mystical creature that gets itself burnt to ashes to give room for a new generation of its kind.

Now, looking at the short tale aforementioned, we can see that something comes out of ashes which is referred to as the New generation. This is another way to look at the term 'ashes' and state if beauty can come out of it.

Come to think of it, the word ashes also play out in our individual lives, or doesn't it? I mentioned at the beginning of this post the "beauty and ugliness" of life. If we are to look at this, we would see that when sadness hit us or crumbles us with the loss of people closest to us, Jobs, or any other related hurtful events, it burns us. The pains we feel aren't something to joke about. Some of us are burnt down in ways that make us see suicide as an option, and at this moment, all hope is lost.

The beauty that comes out of our ashes(pains) is the dim light in our hearts lightened up by the presence of someone or something beautiful. At this moment, we rise from our state of misery and look forward to better days. The better days spoken of is that... Something beautiful can still come out of ashes(nothing).

Understandably, life gets in the way and it is not uncommon for us to be knocked down by one thing or the other. With this in mind, I hope the message in this post would be fairly inspiring to anyone that feels knackered in whatever they're doing. Even when it feels like you are being burned down to ashes, I genuinely believe you can rise like a Phoenix.

Right here I am posing another question to you;

When it feels like you are at your breaking point, how do you deal with it?

Feel free to share your thoughts on this, or share this post if you found the message in it valuable.

Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.

I think the dynamicism makes life more fun if I'm asked.
Could you imagine how boring the world would have been if the only thing you would do is just laugh without moments of sadness... Joy might even lose it's value

Wow, from your illustration, ashes indeed birth beauties

That was a beautiful write-up.
As for how I handle myself in breaking points, I honestly don't have a specific method
Sometimes, it's me staying alone, atimes it's musics and atimes it's just me playing football

Really encouraging post. To answer your question, I take a break when I feel like I've reached my breaking point. Certainly there are activities that help me feel more relaxed. It could be hanging out at my favourite spot with my favourite person, preparing a nice dish, playing some games and resting. Talking to someone I'm comfortable with helps too.
