A short Stroll

I was supposed to have published this since yesterday but more important things came up and I had to sideline writing for yet another day. It has been about 6 days since I last published a post. I notice that whenever I take extended shifts without writing it gets harder to get back in the loop. But then, a writer always finds a way back to the blank page, and here I am.

Not sure how to put it, but a while ago my head was all over the place, so as I often do when in this situation, I decided to take a stroll. Just me, my earpods, some music, and my thoughts. Usually, I try to avoid my thoughts cause they can be overwhelming at times, but then there's just something about when I am listening to music and walking that tames it down and makes things a bit calmer.

It's amazing how therapeutic these walks tend to be when I do them. It has this way of tiring my body and simultaneously strengthening my mind. My legs go on autopilot and my mind just wanders between goals, dreams, achievements, steps I need to take, and my current situation. These are the times I seem to get good ideas or make massive revelations on things that have been crossing my eyes but I haven't been looking objectively at them (I always feel like a fool when this happens).

Today's walk was no different. I didn't have any massive revelation, but I did have a great idea which I won't be talking about, but will definitely be reflected in my subsequent blog posts.

Each time I take these strolls I find myself wondering why I don't do them so often even though they always make me feel so good. I can't really come up with concrete reasons, but I'll say part of the reason is that I'm usually a sweaty mess after, and another (which I feel is the major one) is that I feel like if I do it too often it may start to lose its therapeutic ability. Oh, and also there's the fact that afterwards, I tend to get really hungry and buy a large meal, which may or may not harm my bank account.

Regardless though I'll still take these walks as they're quite good for my mental health. Which I have been putting a conscious effort to take care of recently.

During my walk a new song found its way into my playlist, and although it is not a genre I normally listen to, I found I actually liked the song so I'll be sharing it with you. Enjoy.

😂😂 Korede spag is still a thing, but it's overhyped now. I buy another one that's a bit more pocket friendly, but expensive nonetheless.

True that
