January 21st, 2024This weeek we kicked things off with a several hundred HP delegation increase from @semarekha, bringing her to 2,500+ HP and climbing a position within the PLATINUM VIPs. @mnurhiver also upped his delegation to a whopping 300 HP and climbed several ranks within the SILVER VIPs. Not to be left out, @rencalson came onboard as new delegator with 50 HP and joined the ranks of the BRONZE VIPs.
That sums up the delegation activity, and in other news this curation is way later than normal due to lots of things going at the homefront here in Cambodia. I had a camping guest that I was cooking for and there were/are many developments going on with the construction of our house. This has constricted my Hive time, but I always prioritize ASEAN Hive before my own blog, and that explains my lack of posts and engagement lately.
Anyhow, better late than never, I certainly never want to skip the raffle post because 100% of the post rewards go back to you delegators. I shall not delay things further because this post is behind schedule and I need to get to work on a new weekly challenge for the community. I can't thank you delegators enough for being the behind-the-scenes driving force in this community. ASEAN Hive continues to be my favorite place on this blockchain, and I still say we are the friendliest community on Hive. Okay, let's just see the winners.......

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 167,177, and total delegated HP is 153,838 HP (117,264 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

Welcome back to being a winner. Been meaning to dive into your Phu Quoc post. That's off the coast of Kep/Kampot, towns I spent years living. If I was still there I might've been able to see you with a telescope, haha. There's still no international route by boat to Phu Quoc from Cambodia, still have to go through Ha Tien by land and then back out to sea to Phu Quoc.
