December 9th, 2023Β Β Β This week there isn't much delegation activity to report other than the very exciting addition of a freshly minted BRONZE VIP, the one and only @tpkidkai who came onboard with a 50 HP delegation. As many of you know, my family and I are currently building a new house here in the remote Cardamom Mountains of Cambodia, so community posts like this one may come a little late now and then.
Β Β Β We are excited to see that all of our years on Hive have given us the financial security to build a home. Well, it hasn't been only Hive, but it's fair to say this blockchain is a big part of it. The raffle is just one of many ways that I try and reward VIP delegators. In 2024 I hope to introduce more benefits and rewards for VIP delegators, and I'm happy to do it when I see the community thriving.

I myself am only a piece of the puzzle, it's you all that are responsible for ASEAN Hive's success and being consistently ranked in the top Hive communities. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Β Β Β Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP π₯ BRONZE Raffle.
Β Β Β There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
Β Β Β This week's total effective HP is 163,927, and total delegated HP is 150,861 HP (114,342 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

It's only because you are a nice guy and don't use the full grunt of your power in these raffles.
He's always free to reverse the decision and claim more tickets, but I guess that's one of the many things that makes Dave a legend.
yeah, it's really cool of him to do that. But his huge delegation was what inspired me to up mine so we all win in the end anyway.
Well you guys are both rockstars. At this point the ASEAN Hive "work" is approaching roughly $400 USD per month in profitability, and a massive part of that is you and Dave's contributions. Here in Cambodia a fresh university graduate is unlikely to make more than $350 USD entering into the professional world, so ASEAN Hive could end up being a potential career choice for our oldest daughter should she ever want to take it upon herself.
Seems Dave's delegation uptick totally ruined his raffle odds.
