December 2nd, 2023This week the raffle is a little behind schedule because, as most of you know, we are in the process of building a new house. My attention is divided while also needing to still post and earn the usual crypto that funds my family's lifestyle. Most notably this week is @purepinay's delegation uptick, going from 100 HP to 250 HP, and I can't give enough thanks for that.
I recently checked some stats on PeakD and noticed that ASEAN Hive Community was sitting in the #16 spot, pretty impressive for a grassroots community with no whale support. How did we do it? Because of high quality content, curation, and engagement, and of course our combined HP that is able to provide every quality post with a significant upvote, giving posts attention that might otherwise go unnoticed elsewhere on this blockchain.
I still believe ASEAN Hivers are the friendliest gang in the Hive-o-sphere, and I am consistently impressed with the spirit and good will of you all. Running this community has been a labor of love for several years, but recently I have begun to realize this job is on its way to being financially profitable. When our HBD Savings account reaches $2,000 to $3,000 HBD, it would enough to build a bungalow on our property and rent it to guests as well as making it free for delegators, and would create a new income stream for delegators if were to share the bungalow profits in the form of HBD. How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP 🥉 BRONZE Raffle.
There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
This week's total effective HP is 163,917, and total delegated HP is 150,930 HP (114,229 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.

I still can't believe what this little pet project has become, and now SE Asian content is a force to be reckoned with on Hive. Most of all I enjoy seeing SE Asians from various countries, cultures, and religions, interacting and learning about the lives of each other.

Thank you my friend, I think our lack of whale support has actually been a bonus. Instead we have grown our HP by grassroots means, all within the community, and this is what makes ASEAN Hive thrive.
