Greetings, @JustinParke here with an ASEAN Hive Community update, so please read this post so you don't miss out any developments.

November 3rd, 2023I don't even know where to begin because there is so much I've been wanting to change in the ASEAN Hive Community for a long time. I have tried to list everything below that has been changed, along with new rules, developments, news, and any other relevant stuff I could think of. My time for Hive is becoming more restricted these days, so I need to come up with time-efficient strategies to manage the community as well as increase the profitability of this job, and all this will preserve ASEAN Hive's future and sustainability for/when/if the day comes that someone else will keep this project alive.
There will be more changes to come than I have listed in this post alone, but all the changes I will be making in the next several weeks will serve to better the ASEAN Hive community, increase growth, engagement, profitability, and sustainability. At some point I would like to revamp the curation posts and give the logo and community a facelift, but slow and steady is the way to go. In the next few days I intend also to create new ASEAN Hive custom footers for new VIPs and those who have forgotten to claim theirs.
In this post there is also the first batch of HBD Savings dispensed to VIPs, earned via the @asean.hive HBD Savings account. That is further down the post, so for now please read below for updates to the community management and rules.
Voting 🗳️
Before I had previously used a maximum possible upvote value according to post effort, size, engagement levels, delegation size, and a few other factors, but this is difficult to control our voting mana because the amount and frequency of posts varies from day to day.
From now on there will be no maximum upvote potential, but vote size will still be determined by effort, size, quality, author engagement levels, and post relevance.
Reblogging ✅
Reblogging by the @asean.hive curation account will now occur less frequently, reserved only for posts of notable quality and whose authors are engaged in the community. This will increase the likelihood of bigger upvotes from beyond ASEAN Hive due to a smaller batch of posts featured on the @asean.hive blog feed each day.
ASEAN Hive Engagement 🤝
In order to increase engagement within the ASEAN Hive Community, now all ASEAN Hive VIPs' commenters will receive upvotes instead of only the post author's replies and ASEAN VIP commenters receiving upvotes. The post author's replies will no longer receive upvotes because this HP will now be devoted towards rewarding only the post commenters. This will enable non-delegators to be eligible for engagement upvotes, thus increasing the likelihood of engagement from beyond ASEAN Hive Community borders.
1% Community Beneficiary ♻️
One thing I have been trying to do is increase the profitability, and thus sustainability of ASEAN Hive, mostly because I'd like this community to live even if some day I can't continue running it. In order for anyone to want to take on this job that often requires 8 hours of work each day, it will have to earn more than the roughly $250+ USD of monthly curation rewards that have so far been reinvested in the community.
I think someone would potentially do this job for $300 to $400 USD a month, so I have decided to set a 1% @asean.hive beneficiary for all posts published in ASEAN Hive. These extra funds will be used to continue building the community in various ways.

💰 MONTHLY HBD SAVINGS FOR SELECT VIP TIERS 💰
The @asean.hive curation account is growing and growing, and although I have gone through some financially hard times in life since the beginning of this community, I have managed to keep 99%+ of the earnings within the account in one form or another. My main reason in doing this was I had created some short term goals for our community such as achieving 10,000 HP in the @asean.hive account, reaching 100,000 HP in delegations not from my family members, and also loading up an HBD Savings account with HBD purchased from powering down all HP over 10,000.
The purpose of building up an HBD Savings account was to create more sustainability by diversifying community funds as well as to provide a new way for VIP delegators to earn some guaranteed monthly rewards that aren't part of the various raffles. I slowly built up the account to over $1,000 HBD before deciding to use the monthly interest as rewards, and from now on the monthly HBD earnings will increase, hopefully attaining $100 HBD in interest each month to dispense. October is the first month of this new rewards system, so please bear with me because there will likely be some kinks and errors until I get everything dialed in.

The monthly HBD Savings rewards are limited to 💎 DIAMOND, 💿 PLATINUM, & 👑 GOLD VIP delegators. The SILVER and BRONZE VIPs have a total stake that currently is too small for any significant HBD Savings rewards. I also want to provide more perks for our bigger delegators because they provide us with the voting power that makes this community thrive, so I hope this new rewards system will foster bigger delegations and help the community grow.
Please bear with me as this is the first post of what I aim to be a monthly event, and surely it will become more organized and accessible with time. This is not a raffle, all delegators 500+ HP will receive monthly HBD Savings rewards according to delegation size.

If posting through PeakD, it should all be automatic. Those posting from other front-ends can avoid this, but I don't aim to be aggressive with this. For those that want to support the community in this way, I am very grateful.

That's some serious math you did there bro. I'm impressed!
I realize it's not much yet. but it's growing quickly. By my calculations, with your roughly 30,000 HP delegation, if you used it yourself for curation purposes, you could earn $80 per month. At $5.17, I'm not quite there yet in terms of competing with curation APR, but the savings are growing quickly, so in a few months I expect the rewards to be much bigger. Thanks for being a huge part of ASEAN Hive.
