Greetings Hivers, @justinparke here with a new (possibly weekly) contest, the ASEAN Hive Community GIF Challenge, where we all have a chance to get animated.

ASEAN Hive Community 🌏 GIF Challenge

     I think this new challenge will be a lot of fun, and because this is the first edition, I'm sure this challenge with change a little with time until it crystalizes. The title explains the challenge pretty well, and I think it would be quite easy for many of you to add a suitable GIF to a post that you were going to publish anyways, no need to make a custom post just for this challenge unless you want to.

     I'm quite a GIF enthusiast myself, and my favorite GIFs are goofy ones, so I figure that's a good theme for the first ever ASEAN Hive GIF challenge. I am curious to see if this challenge will be a hit or not, and I have a few thousand Ecency points to boost participants give this challenge some gusto.

     Also, in unrelated news, I have increased the daily post beneficiary raffle to 10% to thank the ASEAN Hive VIP delegators for their continued support. Because there are no winners to designate as beneficiaries for this first post, I have decided to give 10% to @davidke20 and 10% to @gooddream, the two biggest @asean.hive delegators that aren't me.

Tips For A Successful Upload

• Keep your GIFs under 14MB, Hive doesn't seem to like anything bigger.
• 800 x 535px is a good compromise between quality and size, and it is also an ideal thumbnail aspect ratio for Hive.
• 800 x 450px will maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio that most videos are shot in, and you won't have to worry about any cropping.
