Some "Fluffy" Updates | The Potty, Talk, and Silence

Just a dose of fluff.

Fluffy, Fluffy! She's been with us for about a year and a half already. She came to us as a 4-month old kitten, and she's not been a nuisance at all. She had been very behaved -- we did not even have any problems with potty training her. She was a pro!

She's not been very vocal though. She is very quiet. She's not the one to meow. Like, what cat doesn't meow?!! Well, that must be Fluffy. LOL

Fluffy also never seems to get mad. She barely shows her claws.

You see her feet here? Yep, that's how she is all the time. In the 1.5 years she's with us, you can count in one hand the number of times she scratched anyone at home. It's mostly the Little Man since he would sometimes be too playful with her and annoy her.

Can't blame Little Man, though. I mean look at her. I really, really, want to snuggle with her all the time, too!

Talkative Season

I mentioned she's very quiet. Generally. But in the past months, there would be days when she would be very talkative. I would have to guess these days are the days when she's in heat, the poor girl.

She's not been spayed, and I am thinking she really needs to be. I have to check veterinary clinics here how much it would cost to get this procedure done. But it's pricey (I just checked out a clinic, they charge ~ $108), so I don't know. Lol.

Apart from when she's in heat, she would sometimes talk to us when - she's hungry, she wants us to drink so we have to open the tap for her, her potty is dirty, or she gets locked in a room!

The Potty Issue

The husband, for whatever reason it was, decided to bring her litter box in our bathroom when we were in the Philippines. It's still there until now. There were no untoward incidents, until recently.

This girl started to pee on rags. At first I was wondering why, until it occurred to me that she does that whenever she needs to go and there's somebody using the bathroom, i.e. closed.

For a few days, she peed on the rags and only used her litter box for "number 2".

So I decided to remove all the rags, and so now she didn't have anymore place to go and pee but her litter box.

Yay! Potty re-training, done!

Looking at her picture now, I really want to squeeze her and hug her! She could be the biggest snob out there -- she is not the type who would come and rub herself on you. She would even run away from us sometimes.

But when we get hold of her, she does not complain. She just lets us stroke her. She doesn't mind a belly rub, too!

Ours don't care much if we move her box, but when we move her food it's a problem -- she won't eat else where, weird creature. Very different from our dogs who would eat anywhere and everything including the pot itself haha

Hahaha. Wherever there's food, should be a place to eat. Lol.

This girl of ours only started having problems when she had an accident after she couldn't go in the toilet because someone was inside. She did it on the rag instead. Since then, she would do it on every rag. 😐

I know there's those "no pee" sprays for anti-dog peeing. Is there something like that for cat? Because once they get to the habit, it's quite annoying to revert.

I think there is also a spray for cats. I have to check that.
