Mi participación a "Cuéntame una historia - 9 de Julio de 2023"/Villa Alegría [ESP/ENG]

En un pequeño pueblo en medio de la nada llamado Villa Alegría, donde la vida era tranquila y las mañanas se extendían hasta bien entrado el mediodía. En este peculiar lugar, los habitantes tenían la curiosa costumbre de disfrutar de sus desayunos tarde en la mañana.

Una soleada mañana, Emma despertó con el sonido de su estómago rugiendo. Se levantó rápidamente de la cama y se dirigió a la cocina, donde encontró a su hermano menor, Lucas, jugando en el suelo con su taza de cereal.

"Parece que llegué tarde al desayuno", dijo Emma riendo mientras se acercaba a la mesa.

De repente, un ruido estruendoso resonó por toda la casa. Ambos hermanos corrieron hacia la ventana y se quedaron boquiabiertos al ver a un avestruz gigante y enojado en su jardín. Parecía que había salido de un zoológico.

"¡No puedo creer lo que veo!", exclamó Lucas.

Sin pensarlo dos veces, Emma agarró una manzana de la frutera y salió al jardín. Con cuidado, se acercó al avestruz y le tendió la fruta. El ave desconfiada la miró con recelo, pero finalmente extendió su cabeza y la tomó de su mano.

Decidió compartir la carta con todo el pueblo y organizaron una pequeña celebración en honor a la visita de Lisa. Todos los residentes de Villa Alegría se reunieron en la plaza central, donde disfrutaron de un desayuno tardío compartiendo historias y risas.

One sunny morning, Emma awoke to the sound of her stomach rumbling. She quickly got out of bed and headed for the kitchen, where she found her younger brother, Lucas, playing on the floor with his cereal bowl.

"Looks like I'm late for breakfast," Emma laughed as she approached the table.

Suddenly, a thunderous noise echoed through the house. Both siblings ran to the window and gasped at the sight of a giant, angry ostrich in their yard. It looked like it had just come out of a zoo.

"I can't believe my eyes!" exclaimed Lucas.

Without a second thought, Emma grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and went out into the garden. Carefully, she approached the ostrich and held out the fruit. The wary bird eyed her warily, but finally reached out and took her hand.

"I think he's hungry," Emma said as she stroked the ostrich's soft plumage.

Meanwhile, in the village mailbox, the letter carrier found a letter written in German. Having no idea who might have sent it or to whom it was addressed, he decided to take it to the only person in town who could speak German, old Mrs. Helga.

After reading the letter, Frau Helga was surprised. It turned out that the letter was from her granddaughter, Lisa, who lived in Germany. Lisa was telling her about an exciting trip she had taken and how she had decided to send the letter to her as a surprise.

"What a wonderful surprise!" exclaimed Mrs. Helga with a smile.

She decided to share the letter with the entire village and they organized a small celebration in honor of Lisa's visit. All the residents of Villa Alegria gathered in the central plaza, where they enjoyed a late breakfast sharing stories and laughter.

Emma and Lucas were also there along with their new friend, the ostrich. The bird had proven to be friendly and had won the hearts of everyone in town.
