Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Lost Magic
Lost Magic
Description:
Magic units may not be used in battle.
Use Thorns and Demoralize to counter melee attacks.
Use Headwinds and Return Fire to counter ranged attacks.
Units with 2 types of attack (which include magic) cannot be used.
Don't use Magic Reflect monsters or summoners.
Focus on high speed and abilities like Flying, Dodge, Blind. Thorns and Shield are the key in this ruleset.
The Battle Ruleset
Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.
This is a high mana ruleset game and almost every color is available to play, except the Water and Fire Splinters, so it will be quite easy to pick a Splinter and a lineup and hopefully my opponent is not going to bring the same like me.
Thanks to the Healed Out ruleset healing is not possible on any of the monsters on the battlefield, so the game wouldn't last so long, because there would be no sustain in the battle.
My Team Composition
Quix the Devious is a very good summoner for this ruleset, because he cost only four mana and he will decrease the ranged attack and speed of all the enemy monsters and on top of that I will be able to use the Dragon monsters as well, who mare the strognest in the game.
Harklaw will be my tank for this game, because he has a lot of health and armor and on top of that he has the Shield ability, which means that he will effectively halves all the incoming melee and ranged attack targeting him.
The Carnage Titan is an off tank in this battle, because he has the Shield ability, which will halves all the incoming melee and ranged attack damage as well against him. He also has the Reach ability, so he will be able to attack from the second position as well.
The Octopider is a very good choice for this battle, because he has Demoralize ability amongst his high damage and health. This ability will reduce the melee attack of the enemy monsters by one.
The Weirding Warrior has the Shatter ability and cost almost nothing, but he still have one ranged attack damage. The Shatter abiltiy means that if this monster will hit his target he will destroy all the armor on his target.
The Ravenhood Warden is an amazing Death supporter, because he has the Protect ability, which will provide two armor to all of his friendly monsters. That is simply perfect in the Lost Magic ruleset, because none of the monster will be able to ignore that armor.
The Dhampir Stalker is not cheap, but he has a lot of ranged attack damage, which is amazing to deal the most damage possible in a round. I hope my opponent is not going to bring any Sneak attack monster to get rid of him quick.

My opponent picked a similar team like mine, but with a bit of different monsters. At the first round my monsters started to attack their Djinn Chwala* and he reflected all the melee attack back with 2 damage without Shield ability. My monsters killed their Djinn before the first round finished, which was a good sign.
He also had a Harklaw who mitigated a lot of damage using his Shield, so my team had to wait for the beginning of the third round to kill him.
His Riftwing was an easy prey without any protective ability apart from his speed, so they have lost one more monster in the third round.
In the fourth round my team killed another of monster from the enemy team and only two of them remained on the battlefield and it was easy to kill them all in the next round and secure the victory. 😀

I like to play with magic attack monsters, so this ruleset is not really my favorite, but at least I can try to take advantage of some of my monsters with the Shield ability.
