Hello, dear friends! How are you? I hope you all enjoyed this new year. The economy of Cambodia is never unsustainable and I guess it wasn't just happened currently. What about your region?

This time I want to share with you the situation in my country, Cambodia.

Today may have been a beautiful day with sunny skies, but the lack of people on the street also means the lack of costumers. It's not just affecting our pockets though – it's making our local life changing. Generally, the sales in our family market depends 100% on costumers.

Sitting in front of the house watching the silence streets. Without the sound of vehicle, truck, noise and machine on the road, it might sounds peaceful for some people, but for me seems like another universe which I know well how it will end up if this silence mode is still being continue from one day to one day.

This calm is still going on; we may have lived in the crowded area previously when the factory was continuously working, but now it has been closed for awhile due to economic problems, which is leading to a lack of workers who are going to ride vehicles through this way.

Now, I decided to go to the village's lake, I actually let my kids control the business in the house for awhile waiting for costumers. The feeling today, all I want to do is to drive the motorcycle forward everywhere I used to be visiting.

Arrived here. This is my rented house; I always get $ 500 a month for both houses rented. Now the other side is out of renting; they already left, so the remaining $ 250 we can earn. My friend is renting my house; she converted it into a hair salon because she graduated there and wants to continue her business. She also didn't get many customers and told me, "Don't worry, there's still hope for the future." With the help of everyone in the community, we can work together to restore the vitality of our local economy.

Additionally, she persuades me to get hair services from her shop. You can not only support companies that are struggling to survive, but you can also find new, different, and fascinating things that you might not be able to find elsewhere.

Now we only have to sit by the lake to relieve stress; we cannot think much, and we face a lack of solutions, so I think it is my responsibility. Renting a house after really damaging our house in some areas and making it very dirty So we cannot afford to rent it to be repaired, so we just clean it ourselves, little by little, as much as we can.

I hope you all do not have the same fate as me, and I still hope that tomorrow is a great day. May tomorrow be a lucky day for me and all my dear friends. Enjoy the day and have a great time!

Sometimes we are excited to see the large amount of costumers, but when it comes to current economic when the factory in my village are close, we actually have many things to deal especially the lack of costumers which is the biggest problem.

Understand. Are the factories closed because of the pandemic or because of relocation as to Indonesia?

Well, there are many factors that make them end up can't continue their business, one of them can also because of COVID 19, during pandemic they actually have a problem with the income which isn't enough to able paying for worker salary.

I see. The pandemic was really horrible for the majority worldwide. And so many people lost jobs and got poor. I hope for this year to finally be better and more people find better jobs and income opportunities

Are you living in the countryside part of Cambodia or near the city? The street is really quiet it looks just like during the lockdown.
One thing I've learned that during this trying times we need to be self reliant so we can sustain our daily needs. That's good you have added income on your rentals.
I know all will be well soon, I am hopeful but for the mean time we need to tighten our ropes in order to survive.
Sending you some love dear.🥰♥️

Even though we go through the hard time and there is problems to deal, but the thing is that there is still a choice for us to choose whether it is going to be great or bad I think it depends on our decision, so that why we need to make sure and have a deep thinking all the moment.

Thanks for the motivation dear 😊
