Talking about how romantic novels and movies could affect our relationship today,
Majorly we have a little bit of fiction in movies and novels today which has affected us psychologically most especially on ladies and this makes them expect so much physically forgetting that life is not a bed of roses.
Movies and novels that are romantic can have both positive and negative impact on relationships that’s why it’s very important to follow or pick out some important factors in romantic movies or stories today.
Novels and movies that are romantic can help improve our romantic life’s also in the some cases like understanding your partners body or love language, knowing how to treat your partner rightly, knowing how to keep the fire of your love burning.
Romantic novels or movies will set you up for disappointment only if you tend not to remember that life is not a bed of roses and things will not always go or happen the way you want it, we have different ways of perceiving, if you focus alone on how romantic a relationship can be then you should be up for disappointment.
Having the understanding to balance Both sides could give you your best relationship that you have always dreamt of but in a situation where by you expect just romance and love all through leaving other important things aside could cost you a lot and makes you keep thinking every lady or guy is not the best for you. I never said that we don’t deserve to be loved or to have a very romantic relationship but we also need to understand that it’s not all about romance or been romantic, romantic novels and movies can make you develop unreal expectations from your partner and take you into deep fantasies so be careful!.

You're right, romantic movies could have both positive and negative parts depending on how much we are influenced by it. As long as we understand that in real life we can't get all we desire, we could make a balance
