These old people wanted to kill me with fear one faithful day. Hahaha 😄. I never knew that it was all a lie. We were told so many lies, and some of them were told just to make us not do something bad, and some were told to make us do something very good. But omo there are some things that we were told that put us off balance. Myself I was a victim. Not just once and not even twice. It happened again and again. But the most painful part of it is that I believe some of those lies till I grew up. Hahaha 😄. My own mumu pass every body i swear.

I don't know if it is only in Naija oh! But the lies were too. Still too much.

If you swallow the seed of any fruit, you will have to carry the tree in your head because it will definitely grow up in your head. Hahaha 😄

• if you hear a strange bird cry in the night, it means that someone will die around there. Hahaha 😄. I use to be afraid of death. So, when I had this myth, I became more afraid because in my village there are so many 🐦 birds that cries every now and then.

• if you help a old person carry his load to wear he is going, you will receive an angel that day. So, I thought that by carrying an old woman's load I have automatically helped an angel. So, through out that day I will be expecting a blessing from an angel. 😄

• if you hit your left leg on a stone it means bad luck for you that day. This particular one makes me unhappy because I don't know how to cat walk. I am the type that walk fast and most times is either I hit the left leg or the right leg on a stone. So, this definitely means always having bad luck.

• As a girl, if someone beats you with 🧹 broom you will no marry. Ahhh! If that was the truth, I should not have married oh! Both my mother, siblings and even people around use broom to beat me very well because I was the storborn type. If you stay close to me, you must be tempted to use anything around you to beat me and broom is the closest. Hahaha 😄.

• if you sit down and someone else crossed your legs, you will not grow tall again. Hahaha 😄. This one bad die. We all sit on the floor when we were kids. Someone somehow must cross your legs. If it was true, then must of us will not have grown tall today. Though I know that I am not too tall, but that is not the reason. Na so papa God take make me. Abi? What about you? Hahaha 😄

• If any man sees your pants you will become pregnant. Hahaha 😄. This one chock well well. Some young ladies stopped wearing pants so that no man will see it and they will become pregnant. My dear, some of them became pregnant at the end. That is why we need sex education even for our growing kids. They need to know the truth. If we don't tell them, others will help us teach them how it works.

Please 🙏, tell your children the truth. Don't tell them things that will make the afraid of even doing the right thing. Our parents tried i know that. But this age, if you even try to lie to your children, the Google is there to teach them even what you don't expect.
