This month I didn't manage to power up 1'000 Hive
Last November I started this crazy habit of powering up 1000 Hive Power on the first of every month. I managed to do it in December, in January and in February. Today, it's again the first of the month and unfortunately I couldn't manage to put enough Hive together to reach the same amount. In spite of working a lot, this time I couldn't get there.
For March my power up is only 600 Hive...
Well it isn't that bad after all...
On the first of February, I had 21'206 Hive Power. After my power up today, the total Hive Power is 22'070. This means that I had an organic increase of Hive Power of 264 this month simply from author and curation rewards.
I keep the liquid part of my author rewards in HBD and am putting everything into the savings account to get the 12% interests.
How is it looking with my yearly goals?
On the 25th of December last year, I defined the goals for this year. My aim is to reach 35'000 Hive Power and 10'000 HBD by the end of 2022.

Since I have defined the goals, 66 days have passed, which is 18% of the total period. That is the benchmark of my progress.
Since then, I have reached 20% of my goal in terms of Hive Power and 13% in terms of HBD. This means I'm above target in HP but below in HBD. What I have to say is that I am actually building a position with HBD in a liquidity pool and therefore I have actually more HBD than what I count for my goals.
To sum things up, I'm well on track. What I should add here is that it will become more and more difficult to generate a lot of Hive for further power ups. Most of my income that was not from author or curation rewards came from Splinterlands. At the moment I'm buying cards to prepare my deck for the future. So I won't be able to put much aside for the coming Hive Power Up Days.

It's still awesome, even if you power up 500 hive each throughout all the months of the year, I still think that should be under 5000 HP which is still amazing.

Yes, my objective is to power up as much as possible without selling all the Hive-engine tokens :-)
Well, it seems fabulous to me, I would like to get half of that every month.
I agree that 600 HP isn't a bad power up but of course I set this crazy objective that is quite difficult to keep up.
It's amazing, I've been wanting to follow in your footsteps, but it's been a little slow.

I admit that 600 HP isn't too bad ;-)
600 hive power up is good enough already. That is more than I would get in a month right now. Are you just trying to get a max level chaos deck before going back to building your account?

At the moment I'm trying to max 2 summoners (blue and green). I have about 100 BCX for green and about 60 for blue. So there is still a long way to go since these summoners aren't exactly cheap :-). After that I will put money aside to invest in the summoners that will be linked to the airdrops.
20% progress on your HP goal is really well at this date. And since you said you have HBD in diesel pools, you probably are good on the HBD target too. Congrats, despite missing the 1k power up target you've set up for yourself, you seem to be on track!
Yes I'm quite happy with my progress at the moment but I think it will be more difficult to pull money out of SL in the coming weeks. So it will be a bit slower.
While it may not be as expected, hpwever, you're doing great with your HP growth.

It's not only 600 HIVE, it's "only" 600 HIVE! :) :) Also, as the price of HIVE is going up and if it continues to go up, even if you sell other stuff, it will be harder and harder to keep the pace...

It's true that it was much easier to make these power ups when hive was around 0.2$ but I don't mind :-)
I appreciate that you share your process with us; I can see what is possible in Hive. But don't worry, those Splinterlands cards are prettier to look at than Hive tokens, lol!
