My Goals seem suddenly reachable !
For several years, I have been trying to set goals for myself and of course I tried to reach them. I did the same for 2024. At the end of December of the previous year, I set my goals for this year. Basically, my objective is to reach 72'000 Hive Power and 15'000 HBD in my savings by 31.12.2024.
Not enough posts but a nice boost for my HBD
Since the beginning of the year, my posting frequency was very low and this has a direct repercussion on reaching my goals. This month, I have tried to write a bit more but I didn't really succeed. I have only written 4 posts in April.
On the other hand, I sold a lot of Splinterlands cards at the end of 2023. I first put the money into liquidity pools but then I swapped it for HBD. Thanks to that, I managed to increase my HBD in savings by 1276 HBD since the 8.3.2024. Thanks to this push, I'm very well on track for my HBD goals!
Not that much behind...
To measure my progress, I always evaluate how many days have passed since I set my goals. 132 days, or 35.11% of the period have elapsed so far. In order to be on track to reach my goals, I should have an increase of 35,11% today:

While, I'm way back for HP, I only need 217 HBD to reach my goal! It's possible that I reach my HBD goal pretty soon and thereafter, I will be able to concentrate totally on my HP goals. This should probably allow me to reduce the gap and maybe even reach my goal by the end of the year!
First power up on HPUD for a long time
Today, for the first time in many months, I take part in the HPUD. I power up 100 Hive today. It's not much but it's better than the zero power ups of the past weeks :-)

On hive, some goals seems more reachable and even more profitable then some others. Congratulations on still pushing your goals. I also hope to sell the little splinterlands assets I have for HBD if the price appreciates a little.
Since I sold my SL cards, prices droped quite a lot. I still have a lot of cards but I don't think I will be able to sell them anymore :-)

Have you considered swapping your HBD for HP at these prices you would double your HP, then when hive goes up, swap back into HBD
Since I have all my HBD in savings, it takes 3 days to get them liquid and prices are pretty volatile at the moment so that I simply let it be :-). But you are right that if you have a mindset to make profits trading, it could be a good move.

that is an awesome HBD push for the goal my friend. I am wondering why don't you swap the hbd for hive? I know having both goals is nice, but the hive price seems too tempting at the moment for me.

I tend to do that with my post payouts but since my HBD is in saving, it takes 3 days to unlock and with these volatile markets, I prefer not to play too much around :-)

Haha, everyone sets plans and goals. But, as I recall, you weren't so keen on HBD savings while back...
I don't bother with goals and plans, I just blog about what's happening to me and life is easier, everything moves on, slowly and without pressure. 😎
I like setting goals for the simple fact that it allows me to keep track of what I'm doing and to be able to go back in time to check where I came from. This give a nice motivation push :-)
You're definitely right. Maybe I should do the same, but then I'd be too focused on my progress to do other things.

In retrospect, selling many Splinterlands cards at the end of last year and adding the proceeds first in LPs and then in HBD savings was a very smart move.
I've beend trying to sell some cards on a regular level. I still have way too many cards and their value dropped quite consistently. But indeed I'm happy I sold some cards when they were worth some money :-)

Greetings, I hope it's very good @achim03, hehehe geez, the truth is that with next month's interest you will reach your HBD goal. Seeing how the market is currently, do you think Hive will reach new highs, in a year, a year and a half?
I try not to look to much into the crystal ball since I don't know how to read it ;-). I hope that hive will be worth at least as much as today and that I can constantly earn some more.

Happy HPUD and good luck on your goals. I still think it's possible for you to reach it if you try. Considering the prices, I think you did a good job selling Splinterlands cards and moving out the crypto.
I've been selling SL cards on a constant basis. Reducing my decks from 5 to 2, I still have plenty of cards that I would like to sell.
Considering SPL assets have been going in only one direction (downwards), I'd say that has been a great move. However, since we're on the topic of HBD, did you manage to ride the wave to sell HIVE when it shot all the way up during BTC's ATH, and then caught it again at the bottom (hopefully) in recent days?
I worked as a banker in my youth and I learned that trading was not good for my mental health. So I just stake my Hive and put my HBD in savings :-)
