Hive offers a huge quantity of ways to earn crypto
Since I have started to deal with cryptos almost 9 years back, I always acted according to the concept that I wanted to earn crypto.
Earning crypto with faucets - a waste of time
The first way that I earned crypto was through crypto faucets. I claimed from them even if the return for the time invested was ridiculous. However, I soon found out that it was possible to scale this income thanks to referrals. So I started to try to find ways to get referrals for these faucets and my income increased sensibly. Unfortunately, this way of earning wasn't really sustainable because people that I referred generated an income for a certain time but then they often stopped. Also some of these faucets simply disappeared. It was a lot of work for little income but at least I earned some crypto.
Until I discovered Hive
I then tried some other ways to earn crypto but it was never really sustainable. Until I discovered this blockchain...
I realised from the first day the potential that lies in it. Thanks to curation rewards, it's possible to scale your income on hive. You first earn actively through posts and then you grow your stake and one day you will earn more from curating than from making posts.
Since I started on hive, the possible income sources have increased manifolds. Whenever I find a way to earn some tokens, I consider it as an additional income source. The more income sources, the better.
My Hive income sources
Here a non exclusive list of my passive income sources on Hive:
- curation rewards from Hive Power
- organic growth from staking Hive
- interests on HBD in my savings account
- SPS, Voucher GLX and GLGT from staking SPS and GLX
- DEC from renting out Splinterlands cards
- income from various diesel pools with rewards
- income from fees from various diesel pools
- holding CTPSB tokens
- holding AWESOME tokens
- holding staked LENM tokens
- holding staked BXT tokens
- holding BRO tokens
- holding INDEX tokens
- holding DHEDGE tokens
- holding INCOME tokens
- holding SIM tokens
- curation rewards from various tribe tokens
All these income sources above are more or less passive, if I don't consider upvoting posts an active act. The proceeds of some of these income sources may appear small but when you add everything together, it gets pretty interesting.
Now add to that the active income sources:
- income from author rewards in Hive, HBD, tribe tokens
- SPS income from playing Splinterlands
- Starbits income from playing Risingstar
- Forge income from playing Splinterforge
- Income from trading
For years I have been looking for ways to earn crypto. If I separate all tribes and all diesel pools, I can't even count the number of income sources that I have and together they add up.
For me crypto is not about investing but about earning and the Hive ecosystem is perfect for that!

Hive has lots of opportunities. I never got into the faucets thing, although some play2earn games feel like that sometimes. lol
At least with these play2earn games you don't have to complete captchas lol

Hive platform offering us to earn passively. I think it's the best platform in the current time and I hope it will remain best in the upcoming time also.
Still, I have many thing to learn and with time I am learning.
You can learn on hive every day and even after close to 5 years on the chain, I still learn new things almost every day. That makes it pretty fun I believe. If you are willing to have an open mind, to learn and to put in the work, hive is definitely the best place to be at the moment.
Yes, faucets were something everyone had tried, those were pretty desperate times. I still do a btc faucet just for fun.
Hive has is complete ecosystem a decentralized state of its own rulers, we the people. It is almost a year and I have done something nice what I could not in spot and future trading.

Faucets were a lovely start to earn cryptos but I hated all these captchas lol. Hive offers so many ways to earn and the great thing is that the more effort you put into it, the more your income will grow.
Very true, captcha + unnecessary ads had destroyed the fun of faucets. But, the income is very low in faucets and waste of time. Thanks buddy

Hive is an ecosystem where you can thrive if you are consistent in your efforts.
The more effort you put into it, the more profitable it will become and there is a compounding factor that kicks in over time.

So many different ways of earning crypto on this chain, but still there is a need of diversifying more... :) This is just the beginning...
I was thinking about that but actually we can diversify without leaving the chain thanks to diesel pools with swap tokens :-)
Finest ways of earning and growing crypto... These ways provide value and create more opportunities... glad to be part of it in early age... People will sooner or later find it.
In a way I hope that not too many people find out too quickly so that we can still accumulate cheap hive :-)
That's a great list of how to earn on Hive and I think I cover about 80% of it. A great ecosystem with so many ways of earnings that anyone would find his or her fit within.

Hive has lots of opportunities and opens your mind to a lot of beneficial things.
There are opportunities in every corner and since transactions are free, it's even possible to collect coins if you have only a very small wallet.

That's the nicest part about it all. The more work you put into it, the more potential for passive income your generate on Hive.
Hive is amazing and it's kind of crazy how many opportunities there are. There is something for everyone and I tried faucets but I ended up just quitting them. The time spent just doesn't seem worth it.

Interesting to hear your crypto history and very helpful for you to list all the passive and active income sources which mostly match my own. There are so many that I haven't had time to list them all, even for myself.
I also have witness earnings, which is small but adds up with everything else.
Not yet ready to live entirely off crypto like @lordbutterfly - mainly because I live in the most expensive city in the world.
But Hive certainly makes a useful contribution.

Living in Switzerland, I totally get what you mean :-). With every year that I spend on Hive, the income I generate here gets more and more noticeable even for Swiss living costs levels :-)

I do my best to introduce and educate people, but it's not very effective at the moment because there's a lot to take in on Hive, so most people lose interest before they get very far. I'm still devising a good way to onboard people and bring them up to speed. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

As far as my crypto experience goes, if a person earns a profit in one side, then the grade suffers. So in my view better than trading is to work on hive and buy coins and staked them its gives you good profit. One of the biggest advantages of this is that the mental tension that comes with trading is also avoided.
Trading takes a toll on our psyche. I tried it and had to stop. I feel much better while being active on Hive.
