Another 1000 Hive Powered Up!
I had this crazy idea on the 1st of November 2021 to power up 1000 Hive during the Hive Power Up Day. Then I repeated the same operation on the 1st of December and again on the 1st of January. Now that I have started this habit, I don't want to stop it and I just powered up another 1000 Hive !
I'm quite happy how I managed to explode my Hive power during the last months. I had 16'275 Hive Power prior to the first power up at the end of October 2021. Today, I have 21'206 Hive Power. This means that in addition to the 4'000 Hive that I powered up, my account grew organically by 1000 Hive in this time frame from post and curation rewards.
Will I be able to go on like this?
This is the big question that I have to ask myself. I financed most of these power ups with a couple of gold foil legendary cards and untamed packs that I sold for record prices. Now, it will become much more difficult to collect 1000 hive until the next HPUD. But who knows maybe I will manage again ;-).
Why I power up Hive in the first place?
There are plenty of good reasons to power up hive. I get more powerful upvotes and more curation rewards. However, I believe that the biggest thing that lies ahead for owners of Hive Power will be the possibility to delegate RC to programs and apps. There are a lot of efforts in making this possible and it will probably be implemented with the next hardfork. In my opinion, this will add an additional income potential to hive. Being able to rent out resource credits could be independent from using the hive power. It could give a huge boost to the return for holding hive power. If this is the case, the price of Hive will probably go up quite sensibly and I will be happy to have powered it up early...

I love the prospects of curation rewards. I had daily power up goals in the past and 2022 might have been different. Congratulations, 1000 is a huge number.
Curation rewards are definitely getting a nice pump when we increase our Hive Power. I remember when my upvotes were worth 0.03$ and now there are almost worth 0.90$!

Awesome! My Hive assets are growing nicely with time too! Am getting 50% in HP and 50% in HBD, so I never had to power up Hive manually. Hehe!

I powered up 25 HIVE as usual because I think that is a safe amount that I can earn without too many issues each month. Maybe you will be able to make another 1k HIVE next month so who knows.

Strong powerup, where are the funds mostly come from - content creation, curation or other sources?
About everything that I have power up came from Untamed packs and the sale of vouchers. So I have to thank Splinterlands mainly :-)

wow, this is a good habit to have, with this power-up next month you will have 5k power-up and that means you made an additional dolphin to your own level 😋
Yes it's great to add a dolphin level in 5 months. It took me 3 year to get to the first 5K :-)
