Greetings to all Splinterlands warlocks, I am here once again, and I welcome you all to my blog as well, Today, I write to submit and share my entry to the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. This week we have a topic that goes by the theme "Share your battle". I hope you guys are ready to read and learn from my strategy used in battling my opponents. Without much ado, let's dive into the topic straight forward.

Per the ruleset of the game, Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. I used my account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Silver league of the Wild Format. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the Ruleset of the game.

Ruleset IconDescription
Melee Mayhem
Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. If you have melee monsters in the back-line with Sneak or Opportunity, those abilities take precedence. Select a summoner that increases melee attack or a summoner that reduces melee attack of enemies + a tank with Shield. Thorns, Inspire, Blast, and Retaliate help in this ruleset.
Thorns
When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker Has an upper cap of 2. Summoner Mylor Crawling gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle

Summoner:

I chose the "SCARRED LLAMA MAGE" summoner. It was a 28-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the Scarred Llama Mage summoner so that my monsters would have an increase in health by two and also affect my monsters with the last stand ability. It also cleanses any negative effects inflicted on my monsters. My team lineup comprised the following; Failed Summoner, Goblin Psychic, Venari Marksrat, and Kron the Undying. The Kron the Undying monster was kept at the last position so it could take the last stand effect after all my monsters were eliminated.

1st Position:

Failed Summoner, this card has the magic reflect ability so any monster that attacks it by magic will also be inflicted with damage. It is a 2-mana monster with a speed of 2, 0 damage attack, and 4 health with 0 armor protection.

Round 1:

First, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by 2 extra health and also gave the last stand ability to all my monsters. My opponent's lineup comprised six monsters including the Pelacor Conjurer, Blinding Reflector, Gargoya Scrapper, Dax Paragon, Djinn Renova, and Venari Crystalsmith.

In the first round, the Djinn Renova monster with the highest speed among all monsters attacked first with the magic attack followed by a magic reflect attack from my failed summoner monster. Venari Cryststalsmith monster then followed it with a range attack and eliminated my Failed Summoner monster. Both Blinding Reflector and Gargoya Scrapper monsters got thorn damage after attacking by melee. At the end of the round, only one of my monsters was eliminated.

Round 2:

In this round, as usual, the Djinn Renova monster attacked my Goblin Psychic monster and eliminated it in a go. After which Venari Crystalsmith attacked my Venari Marksrat monster. Gargoya Scrapper with the melee damage attacked and eliminated my monster but was also eliminated as well from the thorns damage.

The Kron the Undying monster gained an increase in all stats due to the death of the Martyr monster after which it then attacked and eliminated the Pelacor Conjurer monster. At the end of the round, I was able to eliminate two of my opponent's monsters as well. I was left with only Kron the undying monster in my lineup.

Round 3:

In this round, the Kron the Undying monster was the one with the highest speed now and it then attacked and eliminated the Blinding Reflector monster with just one attack.

Subsequent attacks came from my opponent's monsters and at the end of the round, my opponent was left with 3 monsters to face my last monster.

Round 4 to 7:
In this round, the Kron the Undying eliminated one of my opponent's monsters and then in the fifth round, no monster was eliminated.

Djinn Renova monster was eliminated in the sixth round and finally I was able to eliminate all my opponent's monsters with the Kron the Undying in the seventh round.

This was how my battle went and my opponent won it with ease. Scarred the Llmage summoner is always a great choice for the Kron the Undying monster.

Thank you all for your time and attention for going through my post. A link to my battle is provided here Battle Link
