Graduation it was, four years study in the University was a success

Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I am very excited to write and share this exciting post with you guys, it is nothing other than our recent graduation we had. I will like to share this great opportunity with you all so you can know what transpired in there too.

It has been a month getting to almost two months now when we completed our four years of study in the university. It really took me by surprise when I realized I was finally done with my project work and has successfully completed four years study in the university. It seems to me like a day or weeks ago when I entered into the university to pursue a four year program in Biochemistry. My journey to pursue this course was unexpected because that wasn’t the course I planned to study in the university though. It’s a long story and maybe I might blog later about that in my subsequent posts.

Our graduation ceremony was dated on the 18th of this month and so we started preparations towards that before that day. On the 17th which was a Friday, myself and other colleagues went to take our graduation gown and before that you need to make payment for graduation fees which was 350 Ghana Cedis and it’s equivalent in Hive is (88 Hive) at the time of writing of this article. My hair was a little long so I had to go the barbering saloon and trim that same night before the graduation day.

On the graduation day, when I woke up in the morning, I had to iron the gown because it was a little bit squeezed. Due to time factor I had to just iron the front leaving the back squeezed like that. I also ironed my clothes which I worn to the graduation that same morning, it was a white Kaftan (top & down) dress. I was a bit late to the graduation grounds so I have to call @yahuzah to get me a seat and of course he did. A lot of the graduates couldn’t get seats especially those that late.

Even @nhaji01 too couldn’t get a seat because she decided to come late to the party, hahaha 😂, we all know these girls and their dressings especially to occasions like this 😂😂😂, they will polish and paint their faces to the extend of we not recognizing them again lol 😆. Luckily for Nhaji, she didn’t paint her face, like I will wash it off 🤣🤣🤣.

A lot speeches and prizes were given, including the Valedictorian Speech which was given by a BSc. Mechanical Engineering graduate who had a whopping CGPA of 4.96. Wow, that was marvelous, out of 5.0, so he only short 0.04 to break that scale lol 😆. He really got the brains and deserved that. Prizes were given based on overall best students in every Faculty and Schools.

After that, we had some cultural display from some visitors and then Vice Chancellor’s speech. Other honorable members also have out their speeches and after 3 hours staying in there, the formal section of the graduation was over. We then came out to meet our families and also our friends that came to celebrate with us and also take pictures together with them.

It was a day for us all to enjoy and celebrate which I think everyone there was really happy and excited to be a part of it. Four years isn’t that easy and if by God’s grace you have been able to make it possible, then it is a plus to celebrate and give thanks to the Lord. I am really thankful and grateful to the almighty Allah for making our journey a success, we pray and hope for better jobs as we now move into the job market.
