Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge - The Unprotected Ruleset

Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's battle mage secrets weekly challenge. I am very happy to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. Today, the battle ruleset is "UNPROTECTED" and I would submit my entry to that here in this post including a video of my battle.

Per the ruleset of the game, Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs. I used my personal account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Bronze league. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the Ruleset of the game.

Summoner:

I chose the LOB LOWLAND summoner. It was a 45-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the Lob Lowland summoner so my opponent's monsters will have a decrease in speed. My team lineup was made up of the following; Grund, Unicorn Mustang, Katrelba Gobson, Bertrol Gobson, Spirit Hoarder, and lastly Mycelic Slipspawn. I sent two Bloodlust monsters and that is because of the advantage of the brawl opponent and also the Gladiator ruleset. I added the Spirit Hoarder monster so it can restore or heal the Slipspawn monster's health.

1st Position:

Grund, this card has the double attack ability where it can do double damage to the opponent's monsters. It is an 10-mana monster with a speed of 3, 3 melee damage attack, and 10 health with 0 armor protection.

Round 1:

First of all, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by reducing my opponent's speed. My opponent's lineup was made up of six monsters including the fungus flinger monster in the first position, followed by Grund, Venari Marksrat, Quora Towershead, Mycelic Slipspawn, and then Goblin Psychic monster.

In the first round, my Grund monster attacked first and eliminated the fungus flinger monster but it was revived because of the rebirth ability as part of the ruleset of this battle. Grund second attacked and eliminated it again. Due to the martyr ability it got, it increased all stats twice to the Grund monster of my opponent. My opponent's Grund with its double attack was also able to take down my Grund but was revived because of rebirth. Katrelba Gobson was able to eliminate the Psychic Goblin of my opponent's lineup twice and increased in stats as well. At the end of this round, I was able to eliminate two of my opponent's monsters while he eliminated my Spirit Hoarder monster.

Round 2:

In this round, Grund on my opponent's position attacked first and eliminated my Grund. It also eliminated the Unicorn Mustang monster but the rebirth ability brought it back into play. Katrelba Gobson was able to eliminate the Mycelic Slipspawn monster twice and all stats were increased. Bertrol Gobson also eliminated Quora for the first time and increased in all stats as it is also a bloodlust monster. Mycelic Slipspawn monster eliminated the Venari Marksrat monster of my opponent's lineup which increased all stats on Quora and Grund.

At the end of the round, three monsters were eliminated from my opponent's team while only two were eliminated from my team lineup. My confidence to win the battle started to increase.

Round 3:

In this round, Katrelba Gobson attacked and eliminated both Quora and Venari Marksrat monsters at the same time with the aid of the Scattershot ability. This double increased all the stats on it and it then attacked again and eliminated the Grund monster.

The rebirth ability revived the monster after which the Unicorn Mustang monster attacked and eliminated it, and that brought us to the end of the battle.

This was how my battle went and I won it with ease. I think the selection of my team was good and also selecting bloodlust monster in the lineup for Bob Lowland summoner is a great strategy.
