My device and me.

We are in a world of technology and this has made things so easy for us. We all move around with our devices which are a product of technology.

It is funny many times when we use our devices and maybe at some point when we no longer have it on us, maybe we left it somewhere and it's not with us, then we feel like we are empty. At times we feel like we have lost something so important and then we start to find it by all means. That's just how much we have got so attracted to our devices.

There are a lot of people that also make choices of their devices they love to use. And this is because we all have our differences. Some would even prefer to use an android device over any form of iOS, and some don't even fancy the use of phones but they are always on desktop or on laptops. Whichever choice we decide to make then i can say that it's all as a result of our addiction to those devices.

I have a friend that does use his devices and most of the time when he watches movies on his phone he forgets to pause it before he sleeps. He has been that way for so long. I will be the one to go and put off his phone to retain his battery and reduce the disturbance his phone gives. But to him it’s nothing, as he can sleep the whole time with the movie playing.

As for me, most of the time I am on my device and that's my mobile phone. The major reason why I use my phone almost all the time is because that’s where I work from for now. I am always online attending to some stuff.

Whenever I am not online, then I will be on my phone playing games or watching movies. Though I am a little restricted to doing these things. I only do them at leisure and the other offline activity you can see me doing is listening to music.

I am not the type that give full concentration to my device. I would rather just have to do what i need to do that seem important. I also make sure I give my phone some resting time. Most times when I charge up, I have practiced not using it while charging. And this is one way to make my battery cell keep its durability and last longer.

When I feel sleepy, no matter how important what I'm doing on the phone at that moment is, I am putting my phone down and there are times when I would put it on aeroplane mode and there are times when I would even switch it off.

I believe that the better the care and maintenance we give to something, the better the performance too. When you decide to use your phone roughly, the consequences are yours. I have seen people use their phone for years with no need for a new one. And some are ready to swap or buy new phones even if it's on a weekly basis.

It's a good thing you're conscious of your digital wellbeing.

I think your friend must have a strong power bank to always sleep with his phone running.
