RE: Did Zelensky just commit political suicide? Crazy stuff. Trump/JD Vance accused Zelensky of being disrespectful in the oval office, starting an argument while having "no cards".

The EU said they wouldn't do anything without the support of the US, so I guess Zelensky is forced to go back to the US for the minerals deal. I guess they didn't want to fund all of the war efforts themselves. I think both sides will have to give up a few concessions, but its for the best so that the war ends.

The funding governments have enabled kickbacks to the facilitating politicians, but there's more and more blood funnels weaseling up to the trough, because the grift is so obvious. Occasional honest actors create resistance, as well as threats of enforcement of laws against the kickbacks and fraud. All of this decreases the willingness to funnel funds into the Ukraine, because of lower returns to the politicians that enable the funding because of more and more mouths to feed at the kickback trough, more and more security risks that come with all those mouths, and more and more public resistance due to the obvious failure of the Ukrainian military to prevent the success of the Russian MOD to take clay.

Particularly as weapons provided to the Ukraine end up in the hands of the cartels, in terrorist actors in the EU, or actually wielded by Russian MOD forces, willingness to provide military aid to the Ukraine diminishes daily. If a negotiated peace can be implemented quickly, a Ukrainian government still exists and can today accept terms. If peace can't be negotiated, military aid to the Ukraine can't be provided because of the above stated issues, and Russian MOD continues to advance until it completes the conquest of the Ukraine, then the Ukraine become Russian clay in it's entirety and the EU has poked the bear that now is right at it's borders.

Because significant losses of soldiers, materiel, and funds remain to be spent by Russia before it can complete that conquest, it does have some reason to negotiate peace today, and since the grift is over, so do the EU and the US. Zelensky has no future because he has so obviously taken the aid money, for example buying mansions in Miami and Egypt, has used teams of Ukrainian forces to brutally grab people off the street to feed into the trenches, has made all kinds of promises of victory that could never have been true, has suspended elections, seized the non-Ukrainian Orthodox Church assets, and etc., peace is absolutely not something Zelensky can survive. His only option if peace breaks out is to flee to wherever he has stashed some monies, perhaps Israel, where his mentor Ihor Kholomoisky has retired.

I hope you're right and peace is negotiated, rather than achieved through a Russian military conquest and millions more people die, are injured, displaced, their homes destroyed, and their land seized by force.
